If people are going to make statements that I don't like they had better at least be able to defend what they are saying. I back up everything I say and people who are use minimum wage jobs to support a family are losers. I guess you people in the mob don't really think people should better their lives and take advantage of the free eduction programs that are out there. I guess you people think it's great for a man to make $5.00 an hour the rest of his life as his family starves to death. No wonder you people lose elections.

Why is it so hard for the mob who likes to fake outrage to admit that minimum wage jobs are not how families support themselves unless you have zero motivation to better your life? If you guys can't admit this as you have your meltdowns it just goes to show how out of touch with reality you are.

I also agree that most people do pull themselves up by their own bootstraps to rise above bare minimum wage. But I will also say that many lack either the brains or talent to go farther. By definition, half the population has an IQ lower than 100. Not everyone can be an engineer, a doctor or a molecular biologist. Some people are only fit to be store clerks, janitors, etc. And unlike with Forrest Gump, things won't just magically turn out right for them.

Originally Posted By Beaumandy <<But sometimes "reality" forces people into minimum wage jobs.>> Yes, but for how long? The entire point of this entire point is that the democrats think that they can roll out their huge idea called " raising the minimum wage " and it will get them votes. The minimum wage is not a campaign issue anybody cares about because people know the minimum wage is not going to effect them because they have moved on to other jobs that pay enough to support a family. If you are trying to support a family on minimum wage for years on end you are a loser. There is ZERO reason you can not get a government sponsored free education or you can apply for a job that pays more.
