I guess the single rider line made me a lot less bitter than the people who had to wait such a long time for a mediocre attraction.

In response to oc_dean, I would love to see Mission: Space replace Innoventions, but it is too big to shoehorn in there, I'm afraid. Plus, Star Tours comparisons would probably come up from tourists. I can already here the complaints: "I thought you said this had Star Wars characters in it! Now all I have is a massive headache and an upset stomach!" "Mom, this ride was lame compared to that Mission ride next to Space Mountain." Guess I'll keep on dreamin' or plan another Disney World trip.

It's a thrill ride that is limited to certain people. An all-encompassing Family Attraction is what the Innoventions space needs.

As bad as the orbitor is for TL promenade, it's not doing any favors for the hub either. It intrudes into the central plaza in a vulgar way. I suppose it's nice that the peoplemover may be coming back, and good for them if they finally come up with a new star tours film. But when it falls into line with the return of the subs, space mountain and the new monorails, it seems that the entire focus of the imagineers is redoing what's already been done. Every six months or so I feel like I have to remind people that it's been over eleven years since DL got a new "e-ticket", for lack of a better term. I'm as patient as the next guy, but I believe we're way overdue for a really for real NEW ride. Who knows, maybe for the 55th anniversary, but only if they start crackin' right now.

I was their on Opening day and waited in a line that was down mainstreet. I thought wait was extremely long but thought the ride was exciting with all of the turns and the relatively high speeds. I loved sitting in the front. The only bad part about the ride was the capacity. It had the capacity of a FL darkride and had a line wrapped through another ride.

Each room in the Circle-Vision complex was a different experience. It was going to be some 30-45 minute experience in it's entirety. Many of us knew about this massive attraction being planned in the mid 90s - the first of it's kind for Disneyland. (Very similar in concept to the multi-stage STAR TREK EXPERIENCE in Las Vegas). When GM pulled out of the deal just as the attraction was to get underway - OUT went the elaborate pavilion .. and in came Imagineering's only solution with no budget from Pressler to complete the ride: Two old looping films .. old attraction pieces painted in flourescent blue .... and the main ride without the banked turns needed to make those bends, and no decent special effect planned along the tunnels. On May 22nd ... what was unvieled to the public was the barebones version of a ride that was doomed to failure from the beginning. A motto that will live forever in the memory of the Pressler/Eisner era. IF it went through as planned ... I think I could have lived with the fact they were combining two attractions into one. But since what was ultimately only 1/5th of one ride out of two ...... All I can say now is ........ Glad "Buzz" is in there now ... and a Peoplemover (hopefully) planned for the near future.

With: - Star Tours needed update - replacement for the aging HISTA - replacement for Innoventions (as if anyone really cares about this place!) - Peoplemover track - Astro Orbitor placement situation instead of all this piece-meal restoration to the "1967" infrastructure ..... I'd prefer it if Lassetter said ..... "Hey guys, now that I'm here, lets look at some REAL plans to update DL's Tomorrowland!!!"

With half of the Starcade closed anyway, it really is a waste of space that could be better used.
