I don't know about this either. I don't exactly have the desire to be jetting around to all the parks in the world so if I won that honor I'd probably ask if I could have the cash instead, like on Price is Right :)
I can see me standing there with all the characters, Jay, confetti and trumpets and I'm saying "hmm, let me think about it" :) I'm not lucky with stuff like that so I won't worry about it too much.

Now that Golden Fastpass or a lifetime ticket, whoo hoo! I prefer lot's of "small stuff" like free popcorn or a DVD for more people that a chosen few getting major stuff. But I'll be in the parks no matter what :)

You shouldn't be, they seemed to only mention DL and MK. They didn't talk about AK, MGM, and EPCOT either.

Im not sure about Rock'It Mountain, if its only at night Ill be fine with it, but completely replacing Space Mountain just seems silly, didnt they just spend alot of time and effort to redo and then promote Space Mountain? Seems like a waste to me.

    ditto.

These "special moments" seem to be at the discretion of the CMs, which means their personal biases are going to come into it. And Westsider certainly illuminated us on what those are. I have no kids, wear a pin lanyard, and my AP around my neck, so what do you think my chances are to get a special something? Yeah, I didn't think so either. This is something that you didn't have to worry about with the gift giver machine.

I would hope that Jay Rasulo's statement "Our goal is to make dreams come true for every single guest who visits our Disney parks," really means EVERYONE, first timers, 100 timers, kids, adults, CMs on their days off, APers, locals, vacationers.

    Boy, did he ever.

Maybe the little monicker for the new promotion should be:

'Disneyland: That's Just the Way it is' and they could highlight the careers of all the disgruntled cast members who hate working at Disneyland but pretend to like the guests.

    >>The U.S. campaign will be "Year of a Million Dreams," he said, with theme park employees giving away prizes big and small.

The prizes, which will be awarded to visitors chosen statistically by a third-party company, will include free dinners, Fast Passes that get people to the front of some lines and a lifetime of Disney vacations. Guests may also be named grand marshals of parades or given access to the exclusive, members-only Club 33 at Disneyland.<<

I would love to get my hands on the Official Rules, but the website claims they won't be released until October 1st. A lot of info on how they really plan to hand out the "dreams", and what they will be, will be buried in the fine print.

    But my guess.

Vacation packages about once a month, the hotel or castle stay nightly, then a few of the special parties and golden fastpasses daily, then a lot of free popcorn and special pins.

And as for the Club 33 invite, will it be only that day, and is it just the admission you win, or will Disney pick up the tab on the meal?

I think a lot of folks would have to turn down the chance to use the invite because they couldn't afford the price and/or time to enjoy the meal if you had to use it that day. (Meals start at $59 at Club 33, and go up at Dinner, plus drinks and adult beverages)

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure how this is going to work - a few people are going to win stuff but how is anyone else in the park going to ever know about it? How do you 'market' this?

Your chances are still slightly better than the sulky goth teens lurking back on BTM trail.

    And what's that about?

Hopefully Magical Dreams will come true as we get picked for something special....

AND NO Thanks - I do not want to be locked in Cinderella castle for a night, but I will go to Mickey's suite at DL Hotel.

    Coming to the DLR:

    Finding Nemo Submarines (Summer 07)
    Rockit Mountain (Spring 07)

No mention of a TOT drop profile upgrade. Hmmm.

    Coming to WDW:

The Seas with Nemo and Friends (Late 06 - Epcot)
Finding Nemo Musical (Late 06 - AK)
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor (Early 07 - MK)

No mention of a Block Party Bash parade at MGM.

    Perks:

    Golden Fastpass
Stay at Castle (WDW) or Mickey Penthouse (DL)
    Pirates and Princesses event (WDW)
    Giveaway promotion

Sounds like some interesting concepts and big events (particularly the DL rides), but the whole thing feels like it is a wait and see kind of thing. As some have mentioned, the idea of being in the Castle over night has it definite pros and cons. There also seems to be a huge potential for logistics problems (i.e. if someone gets free access to Club 33 and it's booked for a private party), but I'm sure they'll figure it out. Now, if only my computer can print out that Golden Fastpass...

Easy solution, if the "Rockin' Space Mountain" will be offered all day, just leave the sign as saying "Space Mountain"....

O/T... Hi Butters!!! Long time, no see!
