I know I'm restating myself, but I would really prefer to just ride space mountain.

I know it must be more complicated than that, since that just sounds too easy. I hope if they get it to work, it doesn't take too long.
Originally Posted By soccermermaid I'm actually not sure if theres seperate projectors. The computer does all the switching (all we do is turn the show from classic to night in tower) but it take the computer awhile to do it. And we probably would cycle empty rockets because clearing the line would be havoc just to switch the show over. Hopefully I'll be at subs when it opens because that is going to suck for the Cast Members to explain to guests why there is no line or it's not moving. I already opened it for the grads so I'm good. That's why it wouldn't work in the beginning, the computer would start switching it over into night mode through the day during normal operation. Even the Rock-it part of the Space Mountain sign had to be unplugged for this reason. And there wasn't enough money in the budget to plug it in for gradnight.

If it is only 15 minutes, and the guests waiting in the standby line just wait it out, then I don't see the big impact the switchover would have. Except for the "buggy" issues talked about...and the funding...

Basically the only delay would be waiting for the ok that the new show is working and that guests could go on. The idea just sucks about how long it's going to take, everyday, because we get some pretty rude guests for an hour wait, and I can't imagine how they would feel knowing that suddenly they have to wait longer for Rock-it when they wanted regular Space...And if the projectors don't switchover/turn on the entire show, I don't know if we would have to wait for someone to fix them or if we'd be like screw it, let the people on.

Or if one projector of stars went out, the whole thing would never go 101. So, why all the fuss about keeping people out during the "changeover"? If it is only 15 minutes of Guests, and if safe operation is not impacted, just let them go! I, for one, think few, if any, would notice, and even fewer would care. Those that would "care" would actually probably be thrilled with the "privilege" of experiencing a changeover!

However, if guests are willing to ride the mountain anyway, I say why not...they would have to be warned though... wow...I think that disneyland would be about the best place to work...that is, if broadway doesnt work out!
