    What a great man. As a Disney fans we were so fortunate to have such a great supporter and alley. As some have said previously on many ocaisions Roy stood up for what we all hold as the meaning of Disney. I hope that in this great loss we the fans can come together in hopes of picking up the torch and continuing to insure that the Disney we all love is kept intact. We have lost our lion, a friend, and a hero this day.

    Roy give a big hug to your Dad and Uncle Walt for me and tell them thanks for giving me such a great escape.

    A couple of weeks ago I was in the WDW MK and noticed the statue of Roy (Sr) and Minnie over by City Hall. I was struck by the placement of it (Walt out in front of the castle and Roy just sitting quietly in a corner of Main Street).

    I think it is safe to say that, without Roy, the company is not what it is today. Walt had the dreams but Roy found a way to pay for them and kept his brother in check...no small victory.

    "wahooskipper" I am thinking that putting the statue of Roy and Minnie over by city hall was to honor the fact that this was Roy's favorite thing to do when he was in the park. He could often times be found sitting on a bench on the deck of city hall because it was a quite place above the hustle and bustle were he could enjoy watching the joy in people that he helped create.

    I read the post about all the December Dates of passing of the Disney family members. That is truly amazing.
