The stretching room is my pet peeve for rude guest behavior. Whether it be saying the ghost host's lines or just chattering away, don't these people realize that they're destroying the whole ambiance of the attraction?

Those that have been a gazillion times hoot and holler and stomp their feet and since the sound system in that attraction is hardly state of the art, first timers cannot hear or understand the words. Not a good thing, in my opinion.

Maybe this should be in "confessions", but I am one of those Ghost Host line sayers.

Alexbook, not that this makes you feel any better about your experience, but maybe it is very possible that those folks on your boat did not realize that their fun was ruining it for everyone else.

Although I've NEVER had anyone tell me to shut up while in the stretching room in HM, I can now see how it could be annoying.

I apologize to anyone that may have encountered my verbal outbursts throughout the years.

I will never say those words out loud again, unless it is at an LP meet where we are ALL chiming in. Thank you for opening my eyes!!

When you are a frequent visitor of the parks, it is fun to talk along with the attractions. All attractions. I have never before imagined I was ruining the fun for newcomers or families or people who have saved for a year to enjoy Disney's experience. That was never my intention.

Call me reformed. Thank you for the insight.

I don't know. I think I was afraid if I said anything at all, I'd lose my temper altogether.

Saying it along with the host can be annoying, but this was worse, because the Jungle Cruise isn't a pre-recorded spiel. It was like somebody sitting at the table next to you at Billy Hill giving their own show, with different jokes and timing from the Billy on the stage.

    >>There is ONE place that singing along IMHO is okay.<<

Singing along is a whole different thing. That can be fun, and is often encouraged by the performers.

    >>COP !<<

The cops are stopping you from singing along?

In fact the host of the show invites the audience to sing along at some point.

I don't say it to loud, usually leaning over to one of my kids and saying it to them but I need to be aware not to do it too loud because I'm sure I have bugged people in the past. But I will not give up singing the 'Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me' song that is being sung between the two waterfall drops.

    >>My sister and I settled for loudly signing "It's A Small World" in their ears.<<
Once on Pirates there was a woman chatting away on her cell phone (talking quite loudly) all the way to the drops. Rod and I started singing loud and off key until I heard her say, "I'm sorry." I thought she was talking to us but it turned out that she was apologizing to the person on the phone for all the noise.LOL

I try to keep my resitations low unless there is a group of us doing it.

I think you are wrong Alexbook; we are not tired of these threads. It gives us all a chance to vent and/or confess. There have been a lot of posts in a short time.

My peeve in the stretching room is that I want to hear to Ghost Host. His voice; his intonations. Not the person next to me.

The first time I heard a group of teenagers doing it I just cracked up. But it can get irritating if it happens too often.
