I've almost done that. I'll usually say "OWW" very clearly when the first pic is snapped. And after the 2nd one I'l politely ask "would you please not do that?" Nothing wrong with a little courtesy.

    >The stretching room is my pet peeve for rude guest behavior.<

I'm guilty of jumping on the bandwagon if there are others quoting along in the stretch room. I mean, it's a pretty good chance that most people have seen a ride that's been around in Florida since 1971 (and a couple years earlier in DL). But I also like the quiet, and the eeriness of Paul Frees' incredible voice.

Well, if I recall correctly, one of the lines was:

"Clap you hands and stomp your feet, And try to keep right with 'em,
One sure thing this Bear Band's got
    Is good ol' country rhythm."

So, technically, they were only doing as instructed. I don't see how that is any different than stepping to the center of the stretching room or singing like the birdies sing in the Tiki Room. Sure, it may cover up some of the attraction's sound, but there are points when they encourage audience participation, and I'm never really against that (unless they ended up doing the Country Bears like Rocky Horror...that seems a little much).

Don't forget though, many of us out there aren't as lucky as you folks who get to perhaps "frequent" the park (I've only been to DL once).

As a rare park-attender, talking along would *greatly* annoy me, and take a good deal of the fun out of experiencing the attraction. I don't know if I would say anything, but I would probably glare at the offender/s at least.

Thankfully, when I went to DL my so-far-only time I was able to ride the HM 10 times, so most of those were pleasant Stretching Room experiences. ;-)

And now I can rest assured that if I ever run into 999Haunts in a HM (how appropriate, LOL), she would let me soak up the experience and let the mood and atmosphere envelop me. :) (your sister's a good egg, and your polite attitude shows she's in good company!)

Yes, that is a line in the show and it would seem that is what has been requested. If the songs were just regular run of the mill published music I would be OK with it. I'm not that against it anyway but I noticed that people that had never been to the show before were unable to hear the lyrics and it kind of spoiled the show for them and myself, as far as that goes.

I do feel that everyone should have a good time so I'm not really adverse to it, I just hope that the future will see return visits to the show by those that had no idea what was being said.

I will concede this one because it does verbally encourage it but I do wish they would improve the sound system so that things can be heard clearly. End of ramble.

It was a dream come true!! No talking, no singing, no flash photography. Until that day, I thought the screaming I always heard on the first drop was part of the soundtrack. It turns out that some goofball in every boat decides to scream. I will always have a pleasant memory of that silent SWOOSH as I went down the drops in my private boat. It may not have been the Year of a Million Dreams, but it surely made my day...

I've very loudly mentioned the rule as soon as Phil Photographer starts up and usually that's all it takes. But sometimes I just have to snatch that camera and throw it in the water. Just kidding, that part is just a dream I have!

I spent the next day searching for the woman so I could yell at her:) In retrospect it was actually quite humorous!

The thing with unruly kids just really gets to me when the parents seem oblivious to it. I took my kids to Disneyland every other summer for many years and always felt like part of the Disney Magic was the way they seemed to just know they needed to respect the place. But if they did start to climb they were promptly stopped.

I swear that we don't let our kids do stuff like that.

That fireworks story is interesting. I had seen a lady literally using a 3?-yr.-old in her arms as a battering ram as she practically knocked the lady next to me over and continued on her way to the spot she desired. The crowd in front of the castle before the fireworks sure offers interesting examples of human behavior!

That is a wonderful attitude, and I admire people who can do that easily. But if you rarely get to a park and run into people acting obnoxiously, it's really hard to just "tune it out". I do think some people don't realize what they're doing, but I also think some do know and don't care---they just think they're "funny" or "cool" or wanna show off to their group.
