Thank god the parents laid into the old man with some pretty heavy venom before I did. Totally uncalled for under any circumstance.

I witnessed this once in the MK. I was back in Fanasyland, near Pan, and was walking out to the exit. In front of me was a father and 3 boys around 12 or 13 - I gathered 2 were his sons and one was a friend. They'd evidently done something wrong, so wrong that Dad was calling it a day. As they were walking in front of me, he was NONSTOP berating them on their bad behavior. Stuff like "I take time off from work to give you guys a special day, and you ruin it - you just RUIN it! I'm never doing this again. I'm never going to ANY effort to do something nice for you"... and on and on and on. ALL THE WAY TO THE MAIN GATE! I got sorta fascinated by the spiel, and stuck a few feet behind them, not really enjoying it but amazed that this guy wouldn't shut up!

And I never did learn what the kids did. . .

I mentioned in another thread that my boys like to climb etc which is why we spend a lot of time on Tom Sawyer island and at Redwood Creek.
As a result of their desire for physical activity, wait times at some rides (Rocket Ships, Peter Pan) provide quite a challenge for me to keep my small people standing on their two feet.
I am very careful with my stroller however.

One even did it RIGHT before the drop, not realizing there was a drop there. One was close enough to me that I was able to actually reach up and wrap my arms around her and literally pull her back down to her seat, but the other guy kept standing up for no apparent reason. Eventually, a cast member announced on the speakers to please remain seated. It was embarrassing and totally ruined the ride for me. Since they were my friends, I felt guilty by association.

If I weren't shy and afraid of confrontation, I would have said something. I try not to just a book by it's cover, but from the looks of this guy, telling him what (or what not) to do would not go over really well.

The HM chanting is a bit annoying and seems to have gottn worse in recent years. Although I must confess to joining along during HAUNTS' meet in July. Realizing it may be disturbing to others who may be enjoying the attraction for the first time, or just want to hear the narration, I will just mouth the words if I so feel the urge.

OK, I had to say that before I *really* started ranting. Carry on! ;-)

That's not annoying is it? Hooping and hollering enthusiastically (not obnoxiously)?

I'll be honest - I've been known to direct the orchestra in the privacy of my own car. You should see me directing IllumiNations - man, I'm good! But out in public, where I can annoy others? Nope, no way. There are plenty of show elements to hold my attention without being distracted by some fool waving his arms over the waters!
