And let's not forget how Limbaugh himself was relentless against McCain for years on end. He was constantly making fun of him, doing one of his "clever" exaggerated voice impersonations, and so on. And, he certainly railed against McCain during the primaries, right up to the point where it looked certain that he'd get the nomination. Then, all of a sudden,

<<< Just a month ago, Limbaugh was calling McCain "McBrilliant" for selecting a "hot babe" like Palin. >>>

McCain's suddenly the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I have to disagree. Limbaugh will from time to time say that there are problems within the GOP when it suits his ends. However, I do think that Baghdad Bob does post on WE, or at least used to, under a handful of names. Remember that even several years into the Iraq war, and no matter how much evidence there was that there were serious problems, there was a faction here who could say nothing other than "Everything's going just great!" and/or that Republicans and Bush Administration have never been wrong and simply don't make mistakes. That's Baghdad Bob's style. I guess the evidence is just too great at this point for even the most loyal disciples to continue with that facade.

As for rush, he's loathesome but he's not stupid. He knows which way the wind is blowing, and he's distancing and disassociating himself from McCain because he knows Obama is going to win. So does Karl Rove, who regularly displays an electoral map - even branded as "Karl Rove Presents" emblazoned across the top - that shows that Obama's already sewn up 270 electoral votes to McCain's 130ish.

And SuperDry's absolutely right - Rush and Rove and the Rest never really liked McCain anyway, and haven't made any secret of it.

So in some ways, they're demonstrating a 'sour grapes' approach - sure McCain's gonna lose to the democrat, but it's only due to his own ineptness. If only he'd flung more pooh ...

No matter. You don't need cash to talk trash. ;) With Palin (and now Cindy McCain) flaming like they are they'll get enough free coverage from media outlets to keep them in the game. Plus Palin is appearing on FOX so there's coverage there.

He can't. He had to swear it to Hillary already.

Well, it's October now and the days are counting down. He better make it quick, get the sex tape out, Obama's affliation with the unabomber or something because the clock is ticking down. My guess is there is nothing else or why bring out things from 8 months ago unless you got nothing else. I guess they think they just keep bringing up Ayers and Wright, thats going to swing this election. It didnt work for Clinton, why would they think it will work for them?

I might be wrong, but I don't think so.

All he has now is to take what he's got and get more and more nasty and angry in delivering it (anyone else dead sick of that chick from his commercials and the way she angrily emphasizes what a BASTARD he is...how DISHONORABLE! how DANGEROUS!, how DISHONEST!)

how MUCH of a douche can some woman be to shill for those conservatives that want to force you to bear an offspring of rape.

    How bout that?

And yeah, you figure if he had something, REALLY had something, he would release it now and then had a few weeks to drill it into people. Waiting a week before election would be really really stupid unless it was something that showed Obama as dangerous or something where it would just lose the trust of everyone....and I imagine something like that wouldve came out a long time ago.

Funny thing though, so far, he hasnt made a dent in the polls with all of this and the place that REALLY counts--the debates--he's not seen to have much luck either. He has one more, but even if he wins this, obviously it wont be a landslide since Obama more than can hold his own and he would still be 3-1.

Like I said, its faaar from over, I wont believe anything until Nov. 4th when they announce the winner, but so far McCain hasnt been proven that he can turn it around and the mud slinging is not doing anything except convince the people who was not voting for Obama anyway.
