He's no more or less a loser than anyone else struggling with addiction.

Giving a pass to Limbaugh because 'he's working' is kind of an odd barometer.

He does, at least in my book. Speaking only for myself, everything I have said has been not about Rush himself, but in relation to people who are addicted to his radio show and think he has the answer to everything are reacting to his situation, even while still supporting black-and-white judgements and harsh treatment for others.

She was caught being addicted to a substance less addictive than nicotine.

What would be the benefit if drug addiction is the risk?

Maybe terminal patients with chronic pain be the exception.

Then the Rush Limbaugh's of the world wouldn't get exposed to the drug.

It seems evident in the illegal alien threads as well. Posters are making no distinction between people who came here illegally from another country and those who came here legally and became citizens. No distinction between legal and illegal immigrants, in other words. And in the case of Rush, people are making absolutely no distinctions between a legally prescribed drug used for medical purposes and an illegal recreational drug with, so far as I know, no medical purposes whatsoever. Talk about your black and white thinking. All drug abuse is comparable? All immigarnts are equal? Where's the grey area in determining degrees of guilt here? Apparently nonexistent.
