She's only three, that's why knowing the location really impressed me (she knew where it was in relation to all of Epcot...which I do believe some adults couldn't even manage lol).

Mind you, I wouldn't rule out the Rat Coaster coming to a France Pavillion near you soon!!!

Rio is now filled with Donald Duck and Jose Carioca, which if I recall properly, is not even a Mexican character, he's Brazillian. But since he's from Latin America it's all the same anyway...

Wouldn't be the first time Disney amalgamated. ;)

Anyway, Jon, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the Seas overlay...I thought it was okay. Surprisingly "okay" in fact (it was a lot of fun...and what was previously one of my least favorite pavillions is now my fav or close to it...sadly that is also due to the fact that a couple of my favorites are now dead and gone!).

What did you think of Mission@Space anyway?

You did ride it, didn't ya? (I know you're pretty wussy about that stuff :p)

    Personally, I thought it sucked.

Interestingly, what USED to be the "lame" side of the park (the land side) is now my favorite, and I don't think much of the other side.

    Weird, how that works.

But I also got to see the Jammitors a few times...that was fun. :)

Yes, I rode Mission:Space. I thought it was great fun. And it belongs in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom, not in Future World. Much like Nemo belongs in Fantasyland.

Again, maybe as a side thing to a main show. But they are adding these things that just really don't fit, and it causes the park to lose its focus. Take a look at the horrid Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. It's cartoon after cartoon. And they are going to remove CoP for yet another one.

This is what is starting to happen to Epcot. Nemo in the Seas. Some silly thing over in place of Horizons. Glomming together what Mexico and Brazil.

Replacing quality real stuff with utter banality. The previous Living Seas was dull, this is true. That does not mean you have to then make it yet another cartoon show.

The little room down at the exit of Spaceship Earth pretty much is what is left at Innoventions in Disneyland.

I thought the cramming in of Apple Computer was a bit annoying, otherwise, I think it's really very well done.

But still, I thought it was an awesome attraction.

As for the Seas, sure I wish they'd done something "more"...but the cartoon show kinda worked for me for some reason (I enjoyed it anyway).

Same with Journey, and the Land pavilion has been greatly revitalized with the Soarin attraction as out of place as it is (and yes, it really is!).

I guess my standards have lowered at this point...I no longer expect to be wowed by new stuff, but rather "mildly satisfied".

I did not get sick at all on Mission:Space the ride. I did get a bit bothered by the vomit stench in the hallway afterwards, though.

What was in that little building next to the Imagination Pavilion? They are obviously using only a tiny portion of it. I can't recall what it was for originally. Now it's a place to meet figment.

There is also some more work that needs to be done on this, for example, they talk about Amelia Earhart in the end, and I can not recall seeing her mentioned in the show at all. I think there is also supposed to be a quiz about the ride, but it doesn't really work yet.

The way the ride is set up, I'm not quite sure what they could fit in that area at the end other than what they have, which is better now than it was before.

Don't know what little building you're referring to at imagination.

If you look to the left of Imagination, there is HISTA. Then to the left of that, there is this other building, behind the fountain. That's the building.

We got the same deal, except no "face" in the end (it was an animated face)...guess that was not installed yet...

I thought it sucked. (even if my face was there, i'd still think it sucked)

LOVE that area though, with the dancing waters and all that...we spent a lot of time there with my little one. Lots of fun!

It seems to be able to distinguish male from female, and adults from children.

I don't think it needs to be stellar, not everything in WDW is. Like Buzz - it certainly isn't Men in Black, but it's a fun diversion.

As far as the Living Seas - I am not that impressed with Nemo, and Crush is irritating to me, DUDE. But it has breathed new life into the pavilion, which used to sit there nearly abandoned.

A great new addition, I would say. Certainly not "wrecked" by any stretch (the pavilion was nothing to shout about before, in any case).<<<

Ok remind me to ignore X's recommendations on places to go. I used to love the Living Seas, and while cute, I'm with jonvn on this one. If they dumped that cash into proper refurb and restocking the tanks all the better.

People spend a fortune to go to the subpar Monterrey Aquarium and then rag on the Living Seas?
