To be sure, the owner of this site has a right to allow/delete anything He and She want. It's their site. But, when someone says one little cuss word, I really don't see why it should be deleted. Yes, I know there are little kiddies about, but I work at an Elementary school and the stuff coming out of their mouths is incredible. Trust me, they've said/heard it all. But then, I guess, the problem would be what words, how many, etc...

Just kidding, but I hold the opposing view - I like it the way it is now. With all of the heated rhetoric that flies around this room, it's still downright civil compared to plenty of other places. It's also a disney site at it's core, and something that's devoted to matters about disneyland should have a decorum around it.

I pointed out that in the 80's we not only provided chemical weapons to Saddam, we provided logistical assistance to help him use them against Iranians. (I also provided a link giving more detail). Is this, or is this not true?

I did ask rhetorically "did we give North Korea weapons" and you played a little "gotcha" and said we didn't GIVE Saddam chemical weapons, we sold them. I think any fair-minded person would understand that by "give" I didn't mean for free, and will see through your attempt at a "gotcha." The larger point is there - we provided Saddam with chemical weapons and helped him use them against people. True, or not?

And on the other side, it was YOU who tried to make a bigger deal about having dinner (dinner!) with Kim than it was. It was dinner. Yet you tried to present it as an even balance sheet.

Here's your phrase that started this:

Pretty convenient to think that Reagan didn't "condone or sanction" gas attacks, when we SOLD Saddam the very weapons used, and then provided intelligence, satellite photos, etc. on where best to use them!

Compare that to having dinner with Kim. Wow. Dinner. Yes indeed, that did NOT mean Clinton thought he was a swell guy, any more than any of the presidents having dinner with any of the Soviet premiers meant they thought THEY were swell guys. You have dinner with your adversaries sometimes.

You got that minor point right, but then tried to say that the same thing applied to Reagan selling chemical weapons to Saddam and aiding him in using them.

So, in fact, it is YOU who have tried to minimize Republican actions and exaggerate Democratic ones. Not much of a surprise you then project that on to others.
