Sex and the City is one of my favorite shows. I actually started a little group, me and 8 friends get together the 2nd Sunday of every month for 4 hours to watch it. It's a different theme every month. I even have a shirt that says "I'm a Carrie", lol.

She wanted to dance at that bar(she was wearing a scarf around her neck) but her boyfriend wouldnt dance. So she went off with that big cowboy dude to dance and then there was a fight.

I was expecting something fun, clever, and interesting like maybe Friends or even Sinfield, and was disappointed. The show is okay. But it's just ok. I think there could have been better casting. Sorry if any are offended. I mean, I am coming to the party waaaaay late, having only watched the show for the first time just a few days ago. Obviously it must be me, and not the show, judging from the success of the show.

Actually, there was a lot of fuss over the show ending, and people were making predictions about the finale, and some radio stations were having SATC finale parties. So I tuned into the finale on HBO when it initially aired. A little while after that, someone was having a good sale on the first season, I think under $20, so I figured, "Eh, why not give it a try." It took me months to watch more than the first couple of episodes. But once I got through season one and started season two, I was HOOKED! I love SATC. It's hard to recommend people start on season one, because it wasn't the strongest season. Aside from season five, which stunk, I think the show just gets better and better with each season. Long live SJP!!!! Regarding Cynthia Nixon, I think she is beautiful also, and I think she played her role beautifully. I'm not a SATC apologist.....I just love the show and the four main characters, and the actresses that played them. I think Cynthia Nixon was a great fit for Miranda. I never read the book, as it has bad reviews on Amazon.com, so I'm not sure how true to Miranda's character (or any of them) the show stayed.
