Looking at the flute. The pros don't have to do that.

    >>I'm not sure if it was her or the trumpet (my money's on the trumpet...talk about elitists!), but one of them was playing wrong notes left and right.<<

Absolutely, definitely, unquestionably her. She was playing to a professional backing track tape. The notes weren't exactly wrong, but they were definitely out of tune with the tape, and got worse as it went.

    Are you sure about that?

She sucked, no question there..but that junk behind her sounded like garbage as well.

I don't think there was anything much "professional" about any of that. (I kinda figured it was some Alaska backup big band of some sort)

There are musicians in the dark behind her if you look closely (assuredly Alaska's finest...though I've seen worse in Japan believe you me! lol).

Urkk, you're correct. Don't know where I got it in my mind that she was playing to a tape. I must've been confusing it with something else, having watched it at work with various other things - some of them actually work related - going on at the same time. Anyway, clearly not a tape.

And the trumpet player was much worse than she was. Nevertheless, she was playing about half a key sharp.

Not that I was looking or anything.

I'm not sure she could get through a dramatic reading of the Pledge of Allegiance. But her base woulda loved it anyway, no doubt.

God, how I wish I could vote for Slick again. I'd be wiling to make him President for Life.

I hear ya, RT... I remember how excited me and my friends all were during his first campaign. Knowing that we were voting for a fellow baby boomer who was cool and we could relate to.

Now, it's back to Geezerville or a guy younger than me for the first time - I like Obama, but he makes me feel OLD. *LOL*

There's the return of the RT I know ( picturing the refurbishing of the Clinton shrine in the living room )

you know I was no huge fan of his - but I agree with the fact he would have my vote this election if he could run
