Just out of curiosity, did WDWMagic.com also originally claim the likelihood of Star Wars in the Innoventions/Autopia/Submarines area, too, or was that all MiceAge?

When the "New Matterhorn" opened in '78 there were supposed to be lots of effects including snow storms and sudden temperature drops. Some of those things worked worked sporadically, but never seemed to be a consistent part of the ride experience. God I'm so old. I remember when this DL guide book was published: http://bp1.blogger.com/_3jV5Fc...ront.jpg Hopefully they'll at least bring back that fog effect.

As far as I know, they were the only ones peddling that rumor And as a clarification, the WDWMagic rumor was posted by a user of their discussion boards (who used to post on LP many years ago), not the site themselves >>Can't help but notice they made a meet and great for Marvel but where has SW been?<< Star Wars has had a prominent attraction for nearly 3 decades, and the annual Star Wars Weekends in WDW for many years as well. They're not exactly ignoring it, like what they've done with most of the recent released from their film studio
Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "Can't help but notice they made a meet and great for Marvel but where has SW been?" SW was already there in the form of Star Tours and the Jedi Training thing. You're also forgetting that Star Tours got recently received a major reinvestment with a major upgrade.
Originally Posted By doombuggy "You're also forgetting that Star Tours got recently received a major reinvestment with a major upgrade." That's my point and why there will be no land of any kind. I wouldn't be surprised if WDW got a SWL and Indy <temple,DLP's coaster>

Innoventions: Star Wars on first floor, Marvel on second floor. Probably a basic expansion on the exhibit/meet & greets with the addition of merchandise and food.
Originally Posted By monorailblue << I wouldn't be surprised if WDW got a SWL and Indy <temple,DLP's coaster>>> I would be flabbergasted if WDW got anything akin to Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril. Disney has never indicated a plan to build anything similar (on an Indy theme or otherwise) in the 22 years since it opened.

If nothing else, the seats are tiny and would likely pose major restrictions for American guests. At 6'-1", I had difficulty fitting into the seat, simply because it wasn't designed for tall people, nor would it work well for wider guests

This "insider" claims that everything that has been happening lately, such as the Frozen stuff, the Condor Flats/Grizzly Airfield project, the closure of Luigi's Flying Tires, even the return of the Hatbox Ghost, were all first hinted at by MiceAge, and that, as such, it does not seem wise to question them. >>SW was already there in the form of Star Tours and the Jedi Training thing. You're also forgetting that Star Tours got recently received a major reinvestment with a major upgrade.<< This is all true. Hence, my confusion over why it seems like some people at MiceAge and other sites still seem to stick to their post about Star Wars Land going in the Toontown space. In fact, I read that there's going to be an update on their site on the week of the 14th, and I'm quite sure that they will stand by their claim about the Star Wars land happening.

See what they did there? It's like Cars, but a land I'll also be interested to see what they call the Avatar place in DAK. Pretty much everybody calls it "Avatar Land" but occasionally it gets called "Pandora" (which makes me think of the jewelry that sponsors Wishes at MK). Seems like this would be a good opportunity to come up with something a little more unique

Originally Posted By RoadTrip <<I wonder where that rumor about a Star Wars land by WDW1974 came from then? Because he sure won't say where!>> '74 was an interesting, knowledgeable and very opinionated guy. But at times he knew things that he didn't really know.
