    Actually ... what is it?

How many .... SERIOUSLY ... get to spend lots of money on a flight, and accommodation to Japan and enjoy the park?

I don't think you need to worry about that. Since when has the co. brought back a huge ride back from the dead?

No doubt .... the mega sized Future World attractions that have left us, were impressive ... they were genius ... they had quality ... and they were long enough to really absorb our minds into those "mystical" worlds for 15 or so minutes.

I'm glad I made it to WDW in '92, and '95. I got to see them all, before the company dismantled them.

It would have to be for Horizons.

I just don't see the current leaders having the desire to do anything of the sort

When I visited EPCOT Center in 1986 I was absolutely blown away. Just the variations of ride systems in each Future World attraction was a 'wow' factor.

    "Flying Saucers?"

The Flying Saucers certainly weren't brought back from the dead. The poor attempt of a remake produced a huge ride, but if they wanted to resurrect the Flying Saucers, they should have developed an advanced version of the original system instead of the pedestrian hockey table version that they just closed.

When attractions get duplicated they often have some variations to the ride systems: the trough system of DL's it's a small world was changed to a flooded show building for subsequent iterations (except HKDL); WDW's inline seating for Space Mountain became tandem seats for the other versions (with Paris having a completely different system); the inline seating of DL's Splash Mountain became tandem seats for other versions

Minor differences like that don't really bother me. I consider Dumbo an DL's Astro Orbiter to be essentially the same ride, despite several differences. For me, the Flying Tires and Flying Saucers are similar enough that I consider them to be the same basic thing

The permits include construction of a new "attraction slab," a vehicle maintenance building, revised barriers and gates, and a modified exit queue."

I would be shocked if that was what's coming, since there are basically 2 other versions of it within a 60 second walk from that location

When I rode it, I basically had to sit on the diagonal to fit my knees in, and I'm really not tall enough that it should be an issue

Hopefully whatever is coming uses different vehicles. The concept art seemed to show these exact cars, which worries me a little, even though the other Carsland attractions have fairly accommodating seats

And Lady Bug Boogie, as Ferret said.

I was kidding, sort of. :)
