I think it's a California/west coast thing. I was surprised when I lived out there how much you had to know about pop culture and the entertainment industry to feel like you had any idea what was going on around you. It was just sort of assumed that everybody knew what was going on, and one of the big reasons that LA felt so insular to me; everybody there knew all sorts of things about it, and assumed that the rest of the world did too, without the LA folks actually knowing much about what happens outside of their little bubble

Now that I'm in the DC area, there's a similar vibe with politics and world affairs, but that doesn't bother me as much. Sure the actual politicking goes on here, but it (theoretically) reflects the views of people across the country and is constantly looking outward for information on ways to proceed. Relatively few people in the region are natives, so it just feels a lot more like a crossroads than LA, which sort of felt like I was a stranger at somebody's Thanksgiving dinner

Could this have been something that was discussed internally within DIsney so that it gives WDI a background story for using Hollywoodland in DCA for a Marvel tie in?

with the rumors of a possible Marvel addition near TOT and the possibility of them leaving Disneyland to allow Star Wars to take over innoventions could this all have been planned for future story connections within the parks

    what are your thoughts?
