I guess, since Kodak hasn't been the sponsor for that building for while. Short term ..... seems that theater will continue to be Disney's Marketing's Department domain. That's fine with me. I'm concerned with the Long Term. And I hope it eventually means ... something worthwhile, that would sit there for the next 15, or so, years. If it's another 3D film ... then I hope they go a bit further than just adding new effects to the theater. Terminator II 3D at Universal used live actors, in conjunction with filmed elements. I would think that would be the next thing. And if they drop 3D films altogether .. I'll be even happier. LOL Is it me ... or is it, no matter how much a theme park entity tries to dress up a 3D Movie attraction, it still going to become old, compared to actual rides. They don't seem to hold up, longterm.

It really doesn't fit in either location (and HISTA fits Epcot far better) but it looks like they may still not know what's going on at DL I read an interesting theory for why EO hasn't returned to DL yet: they upgraded the theater to digital projectors, but never made a digital copy of EO. It seems like it would be relatively simple to go back to the film projectors (most real movie theaters use multiple projectors to keep the film going as they switch reels, so why not have a couple in the DL theater?). Additionally, it seems like this would convert Epcot's theater to digital, which means they seem to have some plan to bring the film back, either with a digital print or a film projector. The lack of digital print is an interesting theory, and sounds just dumb enough that it could have some truth to it

I had a big crush on Justine Bateman back then. It was great to see the old escalator into Space Mountain again. Isn't Bruce Jenner a woman now? Remember Sarah Percell? Ya, me either. What a nightmare traffic probably was to setup a stage at the entrance to Tomorrowland. Why isn't anyone getting on the Rocket Jets?

I dont think you can find anything more 80s on the internet.

And dead stars like Nell Carter and John Ritter. Even OJ Simpson was there. Everyone in Hollywood was at the premier except Michael Jackson or any of his famous siblings.

The news<yes the news> was saying he was either a old woman, as a character, a sweeper. I'm the odd man here I still like Eo more so then Honey. What I did think was funny that they bragged it cost 20ml but about 1ml showed up on screen. Eo is filled with sooooooo many mistakes they didn't reshoot because it was so costly.

And sure, upon multiple viewings it's easy to find some flaws, both in production and the big dance number, (whoops!) it was pretty exciting stuff.

Why would a lead actor show up to their movie premier/massive media event in disguise? "The music video was just 4 years old" MTV made the format popular, but you can easily find music videos that date back as far back as the 1950s. Because Captain Eo has multiple numbers and a complete narrative it could also be argued that the film isn't technically a music video, but a musical. Not saying Captain So wasn't a breakthrough, but as you can see in the televised special the hype for it far exceeded what the attraction deserved.
