Of course not, but the change in the brake system should have been approved by the ride manufacturer first and yes there should be lawws requiring this, then by DOSH before it was allowed to continue to opperate.

Unless the contract stated nything in this regards Disney had the right to change what they felt might be more efficient. Disney is responsible for the attractions upkeep not the manufacturer.

the manufacturer was basically a sub-contractor. disney said look we need a coaster that will fit this footprint and this layout, could you make it work?

Good now once you are done we well retroffit it to fit our needs by theming and enhancements.

the manufacturer at that point could release any responsibility to itself if the attraction is altered.

I challenge anyone to find a theme park with as many roller coaster accidents as these three have had. Bonus points for fatalities as BTMRR had. That OSHA is taking its time is a good thing. I love Screamin' as much (and probably more) as anyone but come on people. Disney needs to learn how to operate roller coasters safely.

Bottome line: Consult the manufacturer when modifications are made. Those guys actually KNOW how to operate roller coasters.

You've got to be kidding me. Have you actually talked to any of those attractions' Cast Members? Talk to them and they'll tell you about safety. Do you know how many people move through those attractions in one day? And then how often do they have an accident?

Where do you get your information?
