What does happiness have anything to do with it? They are paid for their skill and talents. Its just another perk of the executives. Their happiness doesn't trickle down. It like asking a manager to be nicer because I'm nicer to you. It doesn't work that way. Good benefits do improve the morale of the front-line employees. Sometimes manager don't do enough to motivate their employees to work harder. It's the company's loss.

Live entertainment is for the high seasons. And I am amazed that Believe hasn't been cut completely off. What about NBC or Small World Holiday, aren't these expensive risks to go through with? I personally do not have issues when budgets are reduced in a make sense manner. And entertainment is an expense that makes sense to reduce at this time.

I don't go to Disneyland, or any theme park, for the musicals or the smaller area entertainment. They are just sort of little extra's if I happen to walk by a band playing dixieland in New Orleans or something, but I have never seeked them out or planned a vacation around them. The one exception has been a parade or two. I made a specific trip to Disneyland to see the MSEP go away in the summer of 1996. And then I made another specific trip to Disneyland for the main purpose of seeing Light Magic in May, 1997. I think that's about the only time I have ever purchased Disneyland admission and/or made a specific trip to a theme park because of an entertainment event. When the MSEP came back as the DEP to rescue DCA from attendance purgatory, I saw it once from a balcony table at The Vineyard Room. But, again, that was by chance and I did not plan my evening around that parade. I did go to Steps In Time twice, once for the original version and once for the newer version. I was not impressed, and I was mainly there because I had already done the other DCA attractions and I was running out of things to do. I was also curious to see what the interior of the Hyperion Theater looked like. I enjoyed seeing the venue itself more than either performance on the stage. ;-) I mainly go to Disneyland and other Disney Parks because they have fun rides. What entertainment I do see is by chance, and I can take it or leave it. It's the rides that get me to go to theme parks. Just my .02, and I would imagine there are others like me who mainly go to theme parks because they have fun rides there.

I don't particularly like parades or character stage shows myself, but what about some of the other great acts?

But, the company I work for they did, and it sure makes the other cuts easier to take. AND, the execs where I work are just as dedicated to this company as all the Disney execs are to Disney.
