It threw the CM for a loop for a minute and he moved on but the second one wasn't much better. < pretty much the same for most experiences now at WDW- a good audience and you enjoy it -- boorish / loud people in Muppets / Philharmagic or even on rides can lessen the experience.

I personally am thrilled to see something a little milder for this pavillion as I am a big wimp about thrill rides.

I think an exciting Future World could occur without any thrills and I, like everyone else, have my own ideas on what could or could not work. But in reality, a quasi-thrill adventure at TLS would have been able to be justified by Disney like the rumored SSE redo, where as a Horizons or Sea Base Alpha approach probably wouldn't have.

It also was intended to CEMENT the story of Seabase Alpha... not stray from it.

It's all BS. Because ultimately people go to Disney parks for immersive 3D attractions that transport them to other places and times. Living characters do NOT do this. They're just a hi-tech character meet-and-greet. There's no way you can compare a 10 minute 'show' where your brats can talk with Crush vs. creating an attraction that takes to a futuristic scientific sea base on the bottom of the ocean. This is why Mission Space will prove to be a huge waste of capital where a space pavillion would have been a GREAT addition to Epcot. Much like Body Wars, MS will have a very limited shelf-life.

I would not travel to WDW to see a land fulls of these attractions, but like and appreciate them as lesser ( B- C ticket ) type

Originally Posted By Spirit of 74 My problem with things like Turtle Talk isn't with them perse. It's more of the mindset that they are MAJOR additions and are marketed as such. They aren't ... Turtle Talk is the 21st century equivalent of a B-C Ticket at best. Everest is a major addition for WDW and should be spoken of in such terms. Crush isn't ... and reopening the closed sea cabs with a Nemo overlay isn't either. Our options should NOT be either a cheap fix or nothing. That's the mindset that leads to everything from the McPooPoo Playground to Stitch's Belch Fest (smells included) to Journey Into WDI's Lack of Imagination versions 2.0 and 3.0. And even speaking from the financial, cold numbers, side they don't help the bottom line and are often a drag on it.
