UNO was just a added bonus that i would do if Potter was there or not.

Poly at Christmas?>> I can remember calling WDW resevations up a few years back when trying to book a room within two weeks and was told the only room available on property was the Presidential Suite at Coronado Springs Resort for $3,000 a night. I told the reservationist that there had to be rooms elsewhere on property for cheaper and she said, "no", that is it! I ended up staying at the "then" Marriott Courtyard in Downtown Disney ( now it is the Holiday Inn in Downtown Disney ). Thus begining my stays in Downtown Disney. I know WDW isn't the only game in town when it comes to hotel rooms. And I discovered the convience of staying in Downtown Disney. I'd rather be staying in a spacious room with queen size beds in Downtown Disney for less than it would cost to stay at a Disney Value resort. Plus from Downtown Disney I can get anywhere on the WDW property in under 20 minutes at any time using various forms of transportation without having to use my car.

And now the most expensive rate @ CSR aka Coronado Springs Resort for the same week in the Casitas Executive Suite is $1,320/night. What a difference a couple of years make.

No one understodd why Disney built them so far away from the parks. The Wyndham Bonnet Creek property hadn't even been built. Wyndham had just won in court the right to "use" Disney roads to get to their property.

And there were more food choices on the menus. I think Biergarten in the Germany Pavallion was still serving salmon as the lunch menu.

But, I felt compelled to disclose that I was booking a room within a two week window ( which is a huge no no in the hotel industry and apparently at WDW ). And you want to keep in mind that there were thousands of fewer rooms available on property at that time. My initial post was in response to someone's post about $600 dollar a night parking lot view rooms at WDW. My point was that WDW has much more expensive rooms than $600 a night. Who knew there was a Presidential Suite at Coronado Springs at $3,000 a night.
