    Well that is the the real issue, is they can get away with it at that time of year, and the parks are not fun to me when that crowded. But people ask me why we have not been back to the states in recent years. Well the answer is, I have two kids in school and everything doubles in price when they are out. And since it is difficult to pull them out (particularly with my career and Sarah being a school governor), we just don't go. I am glad that thanks to my loyalty programmes, we can get to France for free and have our villa at DLP, because I would never pay a package price to go.

    As long as there are kids who have parents with wallets willing to open those wallets for family vacations WDW will do fine - Disney brand is so strong that despite all the failings or cutbacks or limited investment in new attractions WDW parks will continue to be moneymakers whose attendance will go unchallenged by Universal or Sea World parks.

    But, as others have pointed out, new attractions at these other parks, particularly the evolving saga of the Potter world at IOA and increasing investments at Sea World, will keep some buzz about Orlando in the news and certainly can't hurt Orlando tourism.

    You can bet if families are heading to Orlando Disney will be in the mix - and as long as there is a buzz for that area then you'd have to think that its good for Orlando.
