I won't comment on the validity of the claim but will point out that HKITP has exclusivity on Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point for at least 5 years from their respective openings. Therefore until at least May 2018.

Do many brand new attractions have an exclusivity deal when they are opening? Does Ratatouille have one?

And it's interesting to see what all has changed. Although a different scale and architectural style, the massing of the old entrance reminds me of the Mermaid building at DCA. Overall, I think that most of the changes have been for the better, but it will be interesting to see what they actually end up with

Over here we do the same and put a small fir tree on top, but without the flagg.

    From wikipedia:
The practice remains common in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Iceland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and the United States, where the last beam of a skyscraper is painted white and signed by all the workers involved.

So I guess that's not common in China.

The last time I was this underwhelmed by a new Disney park development was DSP.

The park has been filled in nicely since it opened, but there was very little there on opening day that would have been of interest to anybody who had been to any of the other 4 castle parks

But there's more to those cities than Disney parks.

Of course that's true. I was only talking about the Disney resorts.

This is the main reason, for me. If I'm near Paris and have a couple extra days in my trip, I'll try to stop by DLP; if I can't make it work it's not the end of the world. I won't make a trip across the Atlantic just to visit the parks, but if I'm already there on vacation, I might as well give it a shot since I don't know when I'll have another opportunity to do so

Hong Kong is a really neat city, but I'd struggle to spend more than 3-4 days there, including a trip to HKDL. Given that I visited twice in relatively short succession, and that there aren't enough activities to justify the time consuming travel to get there, I can't see myself returning soon. If I happen to be in southern China (heck, anywhere in China), I might try to swing by, but that seems equally unlikely
