It's also interesting to see what they've changed from the 'standards'. It looks like the teacups will be Pooh-themed, and POTC will have some sort of additional twist beyond what we're used to. It's also interesting that they're getting the Mine Train; perhaps that's why they were able to design it so quickly for WDW (like when DL's Dumbo was replaced with the mechanism intended for DLP). I also wonder if the "Once Upon a Time" Adventure will be a generic fairy tale thing (like Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom) or if it will be based on the OUAT TV show; I wouldn't think it's the show, but the quotes are throwing me off

I also thought it was odd that they have a restaurant called the Tangled Tree Tavern. I assume it's based on the Snuggly Duckling in the film, but I wonder why they changed the name; in English, it's a play on the Ugly Duckling fairy tale, but perhaps that doesn't translate into Chinese

It will be interesting to see which train station design the use. Several of them look very utilitarian, so I really hope they go for one of the more unique designs. The HKDL station is really unique, and completely Disney without relying on characters everywhere, so I trust they'll have a good design

I'm sure there will be more rides. In Tomorrowland, for example, something based on Tron is mentioned and I guess that's the light speeder coaster.

I'm not sure what's going on with Tomorrowland. That seems to be the part of the list where things sort of fall apart. The next group down, labeled "Concourse" includes most of the things we'd expect in TL, including "(Ride) Tron Lightcycles Power Run".

I'm also curious if the jet pack ride will be an Astro Orbiter-type spinner attraction, but with guests sitting in inverted roller coaster (feet dangling) type seats; that could be a fun twist on a classic, but might have too big of a height restriction to be practical

What they refer to as the "Village Complex" sounds like a reinvented design for "the hub."

I'm also not a big fan of the design of the subway stations. However I prefer all of them over the DLP train station. I know that the Marne La Vallee Station doesn't belong to Disney, but they could have designed it a lot more beautiful. It's an ugly commuter station.

When dealing with large volumes of passengers on the platforms, sometimes the best option is to go the utilitarian route, and then let the area surrounding the station begin the entrance sequence. The trains themselves aren't particularly nice, so it sort of serves as a transition from the magic of the parks to the ordinary nature of everything else

I think HKDL did a great job with its station, but it serves a much lower rider volume. It does a good job of keeping the magic, while gradually working back to 'regular', from the HKDL station, to the Disney-themed trains, to the nice-yet-ordinary Penny's Bay station, to the regular trains there. It's a subtle experience, but it works really well

I haven't been to TDR by rail in a very long time, but does anybody know if the Maihama station is themed to anything, or if it's just a regular looking train station?

The way that the HKDL line takes you through a tunnel under the mountain, even though both stations are above ground, does a really good job of 'transporting' you to another place. You pop up on the other side surrounded by Disney, and it's like you're in a different world. It might be my favorite pre-entrance sequence of any of the parks

It's been a few years since I've been there, but I remember the Maihama JR station being pretty ordinary looking. There's more decoration at the monorail stations, but since OLC runs those, you'd kinda expect that to be the case.

That sounds really cool. In my opinion HKDL has a wonderful location. I like the mountains in the back of the park, especially the view from Main Street to the castle ist great.

I'm also interested to see how that whole entry area works out, since all the buildings are different architectural styles; it looks like the building to the right of the Carthay Circle has a castle turret

It will also be interesting to see how the Chinese stuff works out. On paper, it seems very patronizing, so I'm skeptical. The Lunar New Year stuff they do in HKDL works nicely because it's temporary, but the permanent character/zodiac mosaics might not work as well

And what's with Mickey and Minnie in that first rendering? They look like the scary knock-off costumes that you'd see on Hollywood Blvd (or all over China)
