I was a regular performer at the Illinois State Fair around 30 or so years ago! Ever see a group that featured five singer/dancers up front and a 5-piece band behind? That not-yet-chubby guy on stage right playing bass and rocking up a storm? Yep - that was ME!!!

Make sure you have some mustard to dip it into. While you're at it, you might as well try fried pickles also.

No, cooking is commendable, it was the tofu thing that turned me away. That's why we gave up our reservations at Sci-Fi. Tofu burgers? No thank you, I don't even like turkey burgers.

not off the top of my head but I can guarantee I likely saw your group....as we go almost every year and live rock has always attracted me to any stage.

Springfield - not exactly the most exciting town - but the state fair was always fun for a city kid like me

Well, for the most part we weren't rock - more like Americana. Stuff like On a Wonderful Day Like Today, a medley of 50's rock, America the Beautiful, etc. Very patriotic, 30 miles of teeth, kids so squeaky clean that you want to go home and punch your own kids!

    Good times . . .

Very very similar. But much smaller - only 10 people in each group (the company ran from 2 to 4 groups, depending on need and scheduling).

I saw UwP when I was in high school, and thought it would be so cool to travel with a group like that. A few years later I found an even better opportunity, and spent most of my 20's out on the road singin' & dancin' & smilin'!
