Spirit, i dont know why your happy about that because i do NOT want a ride through of DLs portrait hallway w/ only 5-6 portraits left! Thank god they are keeping at least 2 of Marc Davis' ORIGINAL UNUSED morphing portaits.
And as far as the Mansions apperance, that came right after Tower opened. They must have figured if its good enough for Tower its good eneugh for Mansion since they are almost the same.

I know it's not really important, but can someone give me a hand here.Would those trees be the beautiful Sycamore trees?

And does anyone know why they have not put some kind of themes cover over the emergency phone on the top of the mountain, it is so tacky.

Although I like new attractions like Mickey's Philharmagic, Buzz, and Pooh; I'm not at all sure they are a significant improvement over the attractions they replace.

I have noticed the HM getting a little shabby and that Small World was getting HUGELY shabby before its recent renovation.

I also share others complaints about the decrease in the quality and uniqueness of the merchandise available. I can't even remember the last time we bought any merchandise at the Magic Kingdom. We feel selection, quality and uniqueness are all better at the other parks.

We still really enjoy our visits to the MK. How can you not love classics like Pirates, the Haunted Mansion (even in its diminished state), Peter Pan, the Mountains, etc. But has it gotten better? No, it has not.

And that is a disappointment, because the other parks all have gotten better since 1991 (yes, even MGM Studios, though it has gone downhill considerably since hitting its peak about 2001).

There's no way they haven't been maintaining the outside since the mid-90s ... I think I would have noticed ... it's got to be a much more recent development that I somehow missed (maybe because most of my Mansion visits are at night?).

Yeah ... but that's a bit further in ... and will replace one web (right one if I recall correctly).

I'm talking about the very first show scene as soon as you leave the load area.

Look for more obvious signs of ghostly residents here!

    Yep. I believe that's what they were/are.

You couldn't miss them. The huge ones in front of the pavillion ... there's a pretzel/beer cart and some benches in that area along the lagoon.

Well... that really sums up my own experiences when I do the various resorts within days or weeks of one another.... And yes Spirit, it was nice spending time with you at EPCOT last week. I will be thinking of you while touring HKDL and TDR this week.

And when you look to criticize someone you don't know without supporting facts you tend to jump to incorrect conclusions.

I don't miss for a second all that is right with WDW. ... Often I even write about it here.

But sadly, over the past decade, Disney has shown a total lack of respect for its own legacy, traditions and standards (all the while blatantly lying to the public) and I feel they need to have it tossed right out where people with brains can draw their own conclusions.

So yeah, with me your easily going to get 70% bad to 30% good even though I could just as soon turn that around.

It just wouldn't do any good and there are plenty of folks who think WDW is perfect just the way it is and post about that, because they frankly don't know any better, so I feel they can balance my criticisms (even though that shouldn't be required).

No....falls out of very expensive computer desk chair, on to floor. curls into a fetal position, and starts sobbing uncontrolably like a baby.
