But yep, even Jess at 2 was bored by the bumper cars.

well because we are not discussing about what happened several years ago that is why its not valid anymore.

The topic if i understood right is whether bugsland should be removed and replaced. Obviously the arguement that it should be removed because the park already has two other water play areas will no longer be valid since those other areas will be removed soon.

Also i see no problem with having more than one water play area, its not like its the only Disney park that has more than one.

The arguement that the land was built on the cheap due to cost cutting is also ridiculous but if beleiving that makes you happy to each there own. The land was designed with plenty of detail and was not meant to be anything more than a nice themed area.

The layout and design might not be perfect but it sevres it purpose just like toontown or other similiar lands in other parks.

I definately agree with those that say that Heimlich needs an upgrade though. What s there is fun and well done but wayyy to short.

A little off topic but has anyone got a chance to see the new merchandise that has arrived at the Disneyland resort? The one that finally has the attractions real name "Toy Story Midway Mania" and has the parks name on it "Disney's California Adventure"

We do like to stroll through sometimes and enjoy the themeing (love the benches) and see the kids having a blast with the water "hoses" but we quickly move on. I'll be sorry to see Bountiful Farms go. It's a nice little area and DH and I have been known to walk through the mist on a hot day.

So I'd say no, don't take FFF out, but agree with others who have said that some tweaking would be a good idea.

I saw some of it last night bean. there is a new tshirt but it also says opening in june. now if we can get a same or similar tshirt after it opens that doesnt say opening in june that would be better as well. Plus there are some posters i would love to have over there as well, as well as some keychains, and probably some other stuff that i didn't look at. it was a quick look around the shop last night since my family was hungry.

The bumper cars definitely need to be sped up. We don't ride them, but do stop to watch at laugh - at the slooooooooow cruise and itty-bitty "bumps." *LOL*

Also meant to mention that as big, dumb kids with no kids, we ride everything at FFF with the exception of the bumper cars. However, you guys should as Dismaying Observation about his super-duper fun time on those speedless pups! ;-)

Instead, it's really a joke. I see rides at the local malls that cover more territory.

I will say Flik's Flyers are fun enough for adults as well as kids. And FLBB isn't terrible for what it is.

I wish I had my video camera that day. It was classic.

I say keep it but, improve it. It fits with DCA's quality and look - and that is not always a bad thing.

If it was expanded - with additional attractions - it could very well help keep all entertained on busy days.

Plus, having a ride that only children can go on is a blessing to many a parent - 2-3 whole minutes of detachment and momentary rest (and maybe an opportunity to eat or drink something they don't want the little ones to eat).

Having two small kids, I say leave it open. I also agree with it needing a few tweaks, but I don't think it should open onto HPB. I like that there's only one way in and out..I have a runner. If she disappears, I can run over to the entrance, and have the other adult in my party look for her.

I love Heimlich...it's so clever...make it longer, but keep it's charm. DD loves the bumper cars, but I can't ride them. Shiva took her on, as has iamsally, and she had a blast..any faster and I may not let her on! My 3 year old hasn't ridden them yet.

Otherwise, leave it as it is...including the water areas...perfect for the kids who can't ride GRR or Splash (like my 3 yo!)

The only other ride in FFF we've been on is Flik's Flyers, which made me dizzier than Screamin or TOT! I think A Bug's Land is the best themed land in DCA and I and my family enjoy it a lot, though I realize we are probably in the minority of families without young kids who do.

Although I love the suggestions of improving Heimlich, and would whole-heartedly support them, I wonder if it is very likely to happen. Seems like an expensive improvement that would make too small an impact on improving the park right now. Still, it's fun to dream!

I say enjoy the area whether you are a child or not. There is nothing wrong with revisiting your childhood while at a Disney park.

I enjoy seeing the transformmation of the land. Its a totally diferent experience at night then during the day.
