Perhaps so. But I ask again -- if I'd managed to get a picture of the contrail rising up above Mission:Space, would the thread have been moved anyway?

    A SUGGESTION TO LP.com --

If you're going to move things or ADMIN things, please send the OP or offending poster a courtesy e-mail when you do, that says why. Otherwise, how can we learn what we did that you didn't like?

    -------------------------
And now I wonder that by making this suggestion, if this will all get ADMINED over to LP GENERAL.....

    -------------------------
The next time I see Doobie at WDW I'm going to ask him personally about this.

I don't understand where your confusion is. You started a topic about seeing the space shuttle from Epcot. Aside from the fact that you saw it from Epcot, it has NOTHING to do with WDW. And now you're throwing a fit because it was moved to community.

As I said, the moderators most likely don't get paid for the work they do on LP. And yet you expect them to email you every time you are admin'd or a topic gets moved? Can you say selfish at all?

However, I do think that this topic is much more appropriate here in Community. It's about see the Space Shuttle, not about Epcot.

Besides, the topics in this section get a much wider audience. I fail to see what the big deal is.

And if someone were to ask if you could see a launch from WDW, where would that topic go? I would think WDW General, so I would think an answer (even without a question) would be appropriate for WDW General too. It's information, about WDW (in this case, geographical) that someone might not know, like Debtree and FerrotAmos in this topic.

And of course it was for John Glenn's return to space. I will never, ever forget hearing launch, seeing the shuttle smoke and steam plume, feeling the ground move, and then hearing that wonderful sound!!!!

The thing that I wasn't prepared for, and I know I've said this before, is that shuttle people we were with waited 74 seconds after liftoff and then cheered so loudly it made me cry. (Challenger exploded 73 seconds after liftoff).

Only ST episode I remember is that there was one with Abraham Lincoln. Watched it on late-night to in the valley (Texas' valley - the area down near the Mexico border) when I was about 12 or 13.
