There no such thing as a large American company. They are now all multinational corporations, and if you think that they (GE, HP, IBM, Microsoft, etc.) have any kind of allegiance to the ol' USA, I have a nice bridge for sale!

This could pretty much be said for any Fortune 500 firm. Even though most are reporting record profits they are pinching pennies so hard that you could be forgiven for thinking that they are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Boy, first Chicken Little makes $40 million despite bad reviews, then ABC continues to dominate the 18-49 demos and a Pixar deal appears imminent, and now this. I'd say the first few months of the Iger administration are looking good!

Especially since they also make telephones.

You must think most people take most things at face value.

    Nestle is from Switzerland, no?

Nestle is from Switzerland - ja 1

but since they bought / absorbed so many American Companies - ( Libby / Stouffer / Carnation / Ralston Purina & Dreyers Ice Cream to name but a few -- they have more American content than most --

Just like Saying Miller Beer is not American ( which Annheuser Busch does on their tours) - technically correct ( same for Chrysler ) - but perception is different.

We're really already 7 months into Bob Iger's reign as he started his duties about 6 months before Eisner officially retired.

In any event it's nice to have some good news coming from Burbank these days.
