I mean, after all, all the factors that have been there are still there (threats to world peace, high demand, etc.). Couldn't be that there's an election coming up in a couple months, could it?

Bush tried to save Social security and the democrats decided it was not really a problem and personal SS accouts was a horrible idea. In other words, the democrats have no plan for SS and are willing to let it collapse as they try and deny me a personal SS account that I could actually use.

I'm sure many parents Republican and Democrat alike would love to continue paying obscene amounts of tution. Of course if they're kids didn't a scholarship then those kids must be losers.

How am I a liar here?? Who is going to pay for the college for those people who can't afford college? We are. Taxes taxes taxes taxes. Go libs!

Wait...aren't you the one who says that when marginal tax rates go DOWN, revenues INCREASE? Hmmmm....apparently, you don't want that revenue to actually SERVE the American people...just people like YOU who sell things to the government.

    Noted.

By the way, avarice is one of the seven deadly sins, as is pride.

See, this is how liberals think. To them " free college " is magic and nobody pays. The adults understand that free college means jacked up taxes to fund these programs.

These are easy to understand and hit people where they live. And the contrast to what has happened under Bush (and allowed to happen by the GOP congress) is pretty stark.

One of the Democrats' perennial problems is trying to create messages that include too much stuff. "I want to make college affordable for all Americans, clean our environment, create good jobs at good wages, shore up Social Security, gain energy independence..." and on and on. It's too much.

It's fine to outline these things on a website, with lots of details - in fact, it's a good thing. But for campaigns, I'd "Keep It Simple, Stupid" and stick with one or two hammered over and over. The GOP tends to do that, quite successfully. The two above are the ones I'd choose.

Are you saying that Bush and the GOP lowered the gas prices to help their election results? Are you really saying this? Maybe it's the Klingons who are causing the prices to come down?

No but one has to wonder if it was really necessary for gas prices to be so high. Nobody I repeat nobody likes paying 3.25 a gallon for gas. I mean come on it shouldn't take forty bones to fill up my Cavalier.

When the democrats say free college for all they are saying they are going to do what libs do, raise taxes. No where in the Constitution does it say the government should pay for peoples college.

Why not pay for peoples housing, food,, TV, and give them a car? Where does it end with the libs?

Dude, this is lame. You know the democrats have nothing and this entire thread is a joke.

The Republicans are on record as being tough on terror, keeping taxes low, supporting capitalism, being for a secure border, supporting America and family values.

To try and argue that the democrats have any ideas that they actually mean or would put into action besides raising taxes and letting terrorists have their way is simply not going to fly.

    You sound desperate.

On record where? I want to see Republican ideas. Do they actually have any??

That means NOTHING. Where are the details? Supporting America. Who doesn't? You better come up with something better than that, or admit that you don't have squat!

Show me a thread on here where the libs have given a SINGLE idea to WIN the war on terror, where they support the troops, where they have any ideas to create more jobs.

The democrats are simply the party on NO. They oppose everything Bush does and they give our enemy talking points.

Everything that has made America great they are now against. It's why Bush won twice and the GOP contolls congress and the govenorships.

The liberal plan to get back power???? Make up bogus scandlas and negative news and push them in their left wing media outlets.

Really, tell me a great NEW idea the democrats have had in the last two years.

If you want idea after idea, check out what Newt Gingrich has to say.

(OK, the Pell grants are give aways, but those are for people that need the financial assistance.)

To believe that either party has any interest in a secure border is nothing less than delusional. I don't believe the Democratic plank any more than I believe the Republican.

But Beaumandy's right about one thing, the Democratic party is the last one I'd expect to see putting more money into the military.

Neither party has a plan Beau. Terrorists will be around as long as there are any causes to be fought.
