    THIS is kinda scary though...

I have to imagine that a not-so-well-maintained ride is not a good place to be, when said ride accelerates to 60mph! Yikes.

I sure hope the "show" technicians are a different group from the "actual" technicians who maintain the rides and the safety checks, EVEN during tough economic times! >>>

They may very well be the same technicians, but word has come down from above that they are to spend no labor hours maintaining non-safety-related show elements (especially any Dalmatians that may be present).

But the scary part (for me), is that when they decide to squeeze even tighter might they perhaps start to go with "non-critical-safety-related" or something along those lines. And who, exactly, decides what is or isn't critical?

If they can't stop a donkey from brayin.

    I'm just sayin.

And yes, I'm serious about never riding test track again. Dave's comment about the door was just a touch too chilling (and I wonder if it's the SAME door that my friend had to repair pre-opening..yikes! I always figured "a wall" meant one of the cars flew off the tracks or something...but perhaps in this case he was referring to that door as "a wall"...anyway, nope. not ridin it anymore!).

enjoy the ride! It's the flights to the parks that make me far more nervous.

We had a close call yesterday in Denver. Fortunately no one was killed nor seriously injured:

If you feel the need to lash out at someone you percieve as an idiot I'm sure you have a mirror in your house.

I'm sure CDD Dad meant this as a kind of parable to life. Quality doesn't need to be advertised. It speaks for itself. I happen to agree with that philosophy.
Don't you think you went a little overboard with your comment about a fellow members father. I think you did. Very, very, very tacky.

Even though I know where it will happen, there are still a couple of places I hold my neck to prevent my head snapping back.

I believe that one of them (#17?) hit the wall at the end of the high speed part, after doing the lap around the building, right when it goes back inside. From the story I read, part of the part that attaches the car to the track broke off, so the car was free to spin in any direction, while still traveling forward along the track. As it went back into the building, it was essentially traveling sideways as it entered the building. Since the opening wasn't big enough to fit a car, the back of the car slammed into the wall, breaking both the car and the wall. The wall was repaired, but there was too much damage to the car to fix it (reducing the fleet size to 16). Supposedly, the broken car became part of one of the displays in the queue, but I couldn't tell you which one for the life of me. Of course, I read this somewhere on the internet and it was a while ago, so it could be that I wasn't remembering it correctly, or it was just plain wrong, but it did have pretty good details for being a fake.

Because if they hadn't you would never have known about the film.....While a great film do you think it would have had the BO sucess it did without promotion? Get real.....Advertising works and it works in a bigger way than any of think....

That's just as tacky as your other post. You are really showing yourself here.
Do you think calling other members of this forums, family names is a prudent thing to do. CarolinaDisneyDad was a much better person than yourself for what he had to say in post #209. You however have chosen to be rude to one of the nicer folks in this forum, for no apparent reason. Exactly what do you hope to accomplish with this childish name calling behavior? Do you wish to continue to appear like a complete Jerk with this kind of attitude. Maybe you would like it if someone had some choice things to say about your Momma. You have stepped over the line, and then tried to defend it. Is your goal to offend people that come to LP, and attempt to make this community a little more enjoyable?

While any good product requires a certain amount of publicity, all the advertising in the world won't make a bad product better. One great example is Waterworld. It had a huge advertising campaign and still struggled at the box office because word of mouth said it was a so so film. Word of quality spreads person to person. That's why a good restaurant doesn't have to have a great location or decore if the food is good.

For instance- today at work we had the Christmas Services for all of property- if those wernt advertised how many people wouldve come?
