I'll put the smell of a good cup of dark roasted Starbucks in this category.

I make no apologies for outwardly attacking any "poor smoker" when they are breaking the rules. It is a stupid habit for weak minded people who can't handle reality.

What do you smokers have to say about it? How can you POSSIBLY defend the habit? You can't because you even know its stupid and you should quit.

They can defend it because although it is a bad thing (which is why I quit), I don't know that it is any worse than drinking alcohol to excess or being obese. I agree that others should not have to deal with second-hand smoke and support STRONG enforcement of the "smoking only in designated areas" policy.

But when I smoked at WDW it really irked me when I would be in a designated smoking area, CLEARY marked not only by signs but by the horde of people smoking there; and some anti-smoker would come waltzing through and make comments about how disgusting the smell and habit were.

Frankly... if that person got cancer from second-hand smoke they were getting EXACTLY what they deserved. If you don’t want to be exposed to it, stay the heck away. Virtually all WDW smoking areas are in out-of-the-way places where you would be there only BY CHOICE. You would not be casually walking through them on the way from one attraction to the next.

not all smokers smoke in there homes or around there kids I nor my husband has never once smoked in our home, in our car while our kids are riding with us( having leather seats in your vehicle helps for not having your vehicle smell like smoke) our non- smoking friends thought we didn't smoke in our cars because they never could smell it.

I know that( our) smoking habits have not caused damage to our kids.I can think of other habits that have done damage to non-smokers kids. Maybe yopu should re examine yourself & look in the mirror before you start passing judgement on people that you don't even know.

Your excuses about not smoking in the house or in your car are LAME to say the least and just poor ways to justify your filthy dirty habits. How dare you! put your children in a situation where they feel like they have to kiss an ashtray at night when they go to sleep?? SHAME!
Seems to me it's you who need to take a good look at yourself and be a more responsible parent for the well being of your flock and stop making excuses for your addiction!

My habit will not effect my children's health cause fact ! says 2nd hand smoke will affect them & they are NOT! around 2nd hand smoke ever!! I would not allow anyone to smoke around my children ever unlike your grandmother your Mom is ill because of the fact that 2nd hand smoke affects non smokers & your Grandmother chose to smoke around her kids regardless.
"Seems to me it's you who need to take a good look at yourself and be a more responsible parent " In regards to that pathetic statement you don't even know me.How much responsibility have you made for your childre? (if you have any?

I have been a stay at home Mom to make sure I was there for my children with sacrificies of not keeping up with the Jones for toys but rather making sure my kids had a parent at all times when need be.Now we own ouyr own business have our kids in private schools prior to that home schooling them myself for 3 years because there school was failing them & at the same time running around making sure at that time that they had all resoyrses as possible & because of my responsibility & putting my family first we were blessed & now we can afford 3 kids in private school & who are exceedinly excelling in there studies because I wax respoinsible took a stand for my kids needs & was not going to watch them fail like other kids in our neighborhood whos parents chose to ignore what they were seeing & now most of those kids are failing in trouble etc. While my kids are happy, intelligent, responsible, loving, caring, respectful, honoring, selfless, etc. because I was responsible as a parent since the day they were born ( & yes! I quit three times smoking because I never smoked while being pregnant) I can go on & on.You need to learn to not take your situation & see dirt in others because of what you have seen. When you have no clue! When all around was saying how dare I not work & make my husband work as if I was a terrible parent for not wanting the almighty dollar.Being happily married for 15 years & seeing other families who were so call responsible families fall apart. Now I am a business owner along side with husband & very successful.

And all of you that apparently don't smoke or drink or have ever driven a motor vehicle after a couple "little ones", well, my hat's off to you. Not a single personal habit or action that potentially could have caused harm to another. Wow!

I am an X-smoker. Smoked for 40 years and I will tell you that it stops becoming a chosen habit and becomes an addiction, both physically and emotionally. It is easy for those that were fortunate enough to have never gotten drawn into it to look with disdain on a smoker and, from that high and mighty perch, look down on the lowliest of lows.

I get angry when I see someone smoking just wherever they choose and couldn't care less about anyone else, but those that make the extra effort to go the designated area and try to not expose you should be thanked instead of put down.

2nd hand smoke, in the outdoors, away from the masses holds about the same risk to passers by as the odds you will get hit by lighting three times in one day. Let's avoid our modernistic over reactive view point designed to create a sense of urgency where none exists.

Go after, aggressively, those that choose to ignore rules and leave the considerate ones alone.

My partner's parents both died of lung cancer due to smoking and his two siblings didn't learn from that at all and are heavy smokers as well. If I get personal and throw tantrums is because it infuriates me that people still can't get a grasp on this issue and do their best to avoid falling into this cigarette habit. Regardless of how good we are to our loved ones and how much we provide for their well being, the point is mute to me when I see that total lack of care for one's personal health in regards to smoking. IF my mother or father were smokers, I would have to express my disappointment, regardless of how much they had provided for me in the past. It's a health issue, not love.

I can live with that, but don't ask me to look the other way when the considerate one happens to be someone I love or care for.
