We use to look forward to eating at WDW. It was a big treat dining out every night of our trip. Now the food is no longer special. We only had one great meal on our last visit.>> I don't know if I had any 'great' meals on my visit last month (although after eating plenty on the cruise, food wasn't quite as important as usual). Had very good meals at Boma, Sanaa, Nine Dragons, Grand Flo Cafe and Kona Cafe. (yes, ate more on property than last few visits) Also, had a great meal for $2.50 ($5 with Coke) by utilizing the great fixings bar at Pecos Bill Cafe and some fries on a very late EMH night with a very special very sucky CM!

Plaza is one of those places no one ever talks much about, but they have good sandwiches and salads and excellent desserts. Rose and Crown is tasty, if unspectacular, pub food. They recently made a big deal (press release and all) about their 'new' menu ... all they did was return some very old items (all good) and (of course) add another $1-2 per entree. I never feel raped when dining at either locale.

And, yes, Sheppards Pie is back on the menu. <<I'm stumped! Where is the Plaza?>> Take a right at ice crean shop and it's right next door as you're heading to the restrooms (Leo) or Noodle Terrace (always closed or serving chicken nuggets).

MK is soooo much more magical when you have a buzz going!

And regulars here can point you to the quickest and best places for much less expensive meals (both on and off property!)

Been to many theme parks, resorts, ball parks, museums, concerts etc. I still compare WDW dining to WDW Dining in the past and UNI/SW/off-site dining in the present. You and I agree on most things WDW-related, but I think you give them too much wiggle room on their food and beverage price points. I think part of that is your ballpark experiences and part is you live in a city with very pricey dining. (still waiting/whoring for his Cal Grill dinner!)

Very sad.
