Originally Posted By mawnck >>Nothing said by the campaigns is spontaneous<< Ha! MOST of what is said by actual campaign spokespeople (such as Tracy Schmidt) is tightly controlled, but shooting one's mouth off is a time-honored political tradition when it comes to the rank-and-file politicos (such as Fiorina, who according to the earlier article is a "McCain advisor). Earlier reports of Palin's reaction on the plane where she watched it indicated that she did NOT think it was funny at all. Hopefully they'll ask her about it in ... snort ... her next ... chortle ... interview. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!

As for Palin's reaction, I hadn't heard about the plane, but I think her coming out with the "official" reaction she did a day or so after Fiorina's comments clanked on the rim indicates damage control.
