    Couldn't disagree more.

I think DLs 'POTC' is superior in that it provides an overall richer and more detailed experience.

Yes, the Lafitte's Landing, bayou scene, the Blue Bayou restaurant.

Then, the first waterfall, with the grotto et al.

With WDWs, the fortress queue is there, but I always found it to be poorly designed -- almost Six Flags in its execution.

Then, you get on the boat, and out you go into the first grotto scene. No bayou, no first waterfall et al.

And when you're done -- it's just like 'okay, last scene, get out.' Where at Disneyland, the ride up the waterfall, past the people waiting in line, gives more of a proper 'denoument' to the experience.

When I first went on WDWs 'POTC' I felt like I was experiencing a 'Highlights' video.

Then we moved to Europe and 6 years later DLP's opened. A fab fort across from SkullRock and the Pirate Ship, through an amazing fortress queue, a fab Lagoon in the Caribbean with a restaurant that is a Tortuga like Tavern, a ship wreck, a more cohesive story, state of the art AA's and 2 falls. Well, after that, WDW's is laughable. And yet people like the Bloonas here in the uk skip DLP to go to WDW. This I still cannot fathom.

I just liked the line a lot, I guess. Lots of Marc Davis in it.

Indeed. Did you ever here the on about the skelletons playing chess? The move on the board was a double stalemate where the game would last for ever. Marc thought this gag was really funny.

When they were cleaning/refurbing the attraction, the chess board got messed up. Apparently it took them a long time to figure out how to rectify the scene.

And is it me or does the rock work in the first grotto scene in FL.look like crumpled up paper? Also, the ramp at the exit sounded rather loud like it was over heating.

It's kind of similar to the original in Disneyland. But it is a bit more ornate.
