I went to DLR last summer and thought the pirates there was much better. I think it is the longer intro to the attraction that I like.

Something that has not happened to me yet and you know why? Because unlike you, I give BACK to the community in many ways thru freelancing, photography and sharing my expertise, tips and what have you. Frankly, you don't reach my heels in regards to that, no matter how eloquently composed your trip reports, put downs and posts might be.

Not that we all aren't a bit addicted, but better Disney than some things.

Besides, there are others online who are dedicated to doing just that thru their personal sites. I think it's best to let the "professionals" do their job reporting, even though some of the stuff they report on lacks the necesary knowledge and first hand experience that park aficionados like you and me can bring into these reports.

I think there is a different sort of fan out there, though, who is like you say, and they really do have a hard time with things and use disney as some sort of bizarre escape. But in the end, it's a theme park. So we get these nuts. Lots of them.

I hope you'll continue to post the photos elsewhere (even if it isn't 150, but 10 or 15 each time). I totally understand as far as enjoyment of the parks. At some point, it becomes more of a job. I am spending more time with friends also this year, trying to enjoy the parks and not JUST taking photos. You do such a great job (there is the j word again!) with photos/writing, I didn't realize Epson was closing. I do believe a lot of people appreciated your hard work, though! I am certainly not a "professional", any more than you are.
Originally Posted By jonvn "But, yes, the queue in Florida is a marvelous adventure, too!" It really is. The way people talk around here, you'd think it was terrible or something. It's almost the exact same thing. The cave sequences are nothing spectacular in DL in the first place, and there are cave sequences in the one in Florida, too, although shortened.

Especially on very crowded days when the queue (which is as expansive as a 10 feet across in some areas, become a madhouse from hell as people push forward and cut in front of others in the chaos of it all... For that alone and the fact that DL's queue is tigher and more "single line" format, the DL queue will be much more better in my honest opinion.. but hey! I am a deranged fan with issues and know nothing about Disney or how they operate their 5 resorts worldwide. <---rolls eyes

The same thing that drives us fans to talk on these forums, go to the parks all the time, buy the dvd's and merchandise, and wear mouse-ears is just like being a major sports fan or star wars fan.
