As I said a while ago, I just think my customer life cycle is over with the Disney Parks. I need a reason to get excited and the Fantasyland Expansion at WDW has me excited once again. (I know people with blast me for that statement but I am happy to see a Disneyland Paris level of "feel" will impart a new charming vibe to the area. I love the icing and the Little Mermaid ride is very exciting). The most excitement for me here on the LP boards is the re-work of DCA. Wow indeed. I mean .... *squeal* ... This is why I primarily continue to "tune in". Disney has seduced me again with the re-work of DCA. And I will plan my first Disney park vac(in 2012? 2013?)since my last Disney park vacation in 2007. There is nothing to really get me excited at WDW right now - they have let it go stale. There is not enough infusion into the parks to jazz me up. It is trickling to slow. I visit Orlando each June for Gay Days and only visit the Magic Kingdom on the first Sat to show off my red shirt. I stay off property and focus on the Gay Days activities at the convention hotel. I need a reason to spend my money and it is so unchanged that I am not compelled to visit. It is also hard to feel "included" in the Disney fandom when Disney has priced themselves consistently higher each year to the point where is is a blatant "bend you over barrel" and take advantage. Therefore I am not visiting as much so I have nothing to say. It is disgusting to see the frequent price hikes. A huge turn off indeed. The message to me is they don't want my business. They have not justified the price hikes by keeping things very stale. I don't want to be a downer. I love the parks but they need to get me there and they are not justifying their offerings in comparison to the prices - I will be spending money at Universal to see Potter - FYI. I was a frequent loyal guest - flying from CT to FL two to three times a year for over a dozen years and I just can't justify it anymore. The blatant greedy straw that broke my fandom back was the price hikes of the APs and the new 120 day booking policies. That did it. Bye now. And now they have to get me back and it won't be easy. It is easier to KEEP your existing customer than to win them back. I still support and am drawn to the imagination and talent of the imagineers. I want to feel like the creative talent is calling the shots at WDW and I am not getting that right now. I need the new Fantasyland to change that perception. I think I am randomly babbling ... I will stop.
