That's odd because I'm from San Francisco and I always spend money in DtD whenever I'm visiting DLR. It certainly never seemed like a teen hang out to me.

Well, of course, everyone has a different experience depending on time of the year, weeknight, etc.
I worked at DLR for three years and, mostly on Friday and Saturday nights, the place was overrun with teenagers.
I just went back two weeks ago, and it seemed even worse than before.
Of course, there were a ton of families and tourists and whatnot, but the teens are there. Maybe I'm just looking too hard for them :)

Now CityWalk, that's another story. Even with the "undercover" security guards enmasse I needed to get the heck out of there one Saturday night. I felt SO old!

I also like CityWalk in Orlando. The CityWalk in Hollywood was a little rough for my tastes.
And I don't really care for the DtD@WDW, I think after they redevelop the now defunct PI I will like it more. The Marketplace side is ok, then it is seperated from the westside by PI, which I never really cared for (AC excepted). And the Westside feels kinda wierd.

I myself would love to see a place down there where I could get a quick bite other then Wetzels or Jamba Juice. I would LOVE it if they put an In N Out in Downtown Disney. You KNOW it would always be crowded. It would also take people out of the park because it's delicious and cheap and that's probably not what Disney wants. Oh well!

How likely is it that an Apple Store would work at DTD WDW?

Just asking the questions and soliciting opinions. Not bashing Apple as I'm a committed Apple user and typing this on their equipment right now. I really wish there was an Apple store right here in western Ventura County, i.e. Oxnard. There is a fancy new 600,000 square foot supposedly upscale "Lifestyle" shopping center being built here in town that I think would be PERFECT for an Apple store. But there already is an Apple store in the enclosed mall in Thousand Oaks, which is about 20 or 25 miles away in the eastern half of the county. My fear is that Apple considers the Thousand Oaks store to be THE local store for most of Ventura County, and that they won't give us one here in Oxnard.

Which sucks considering I don't like the chore of driving 30 or 40 minutes to T.O. to get to the nearest Apple store, but it sure as heck beats driving down to Anaheim. And if I'm going all the way down to Anaheim, I sure as heck am going to spend most of my time at the parks or at DTD experiences like Catal, etc., that I can't get here at home, and am NOT going to waste any of that time hanging out in the Apple store.

Yes, it's still there. (This is how rumors get started.)

My thought was that DLR is the perfect place for Apple to showcase their products. The store might not yield huge sales, but there are few places in the world that have the kind of brand exposure and foot traffic at DLR has to offer.

I had the same concerns, but changed my mind once I heard the some compelling evidence about tourists going to the Apple stores in Orlando. The thing about Apple products is that they aren't really discounted, so there is very little comparison shopping for their products. Premium products at premium prices; just like Disney. "Cool" like Disney too. The store might not sell any Mac Pros , but I can imagine it moving large numbers of iPods.
