I've never seen it advertised as such- come see Illuminations- a fireworks only show. The Lights action stut show gets ripped for being a lot of blow em up with no story and now illuminations is supposed to be all boom all the time ? I can get a fireworks show many places- but not story telling

Had they used more fountains during that segment, and maybe projected images on them too, I think it would have been more effective. But just starting at a tv screen for long periods of time seems to slow the pace to much. And as much as I like this show, I'm ready to be "wowed" by something new. I'd like to see them develop a show that goes back to the original spirit of IllumiNations - one that celebrates the actual countries of the World Showcase more.

RoE runs 9:31 (and 11:57 with all of We Go On) - it isn't a long show by Disney standards at all (think less than half the length of Fantasmic! and even shorter than Wishes). Personally RoE works on multiple levels - you can either just sit back and enjoy the show or you can immerse yourself in the story-telling. Granted some folks might not grasp all of the story but ultimately you should be getting: Acceleration Chaos Space Life Adventure Home Celebration Meaning It doesn't have the same narrative arc of usual Disney shows - much like all of Epcot's Millennium Celebration it just feels more adult and upscale. Exactly the type of product that should be featured at Epcot.

I'm getting so tired of every Disney nighttime show having the same arc - happy beginning, adventure section, romance section, villains/conflict section, and happy ending. It's getting to be so repetitive!

They had a huge opportunity during the Millennium celebration to add more "synergy" to EPCOT, and yet, somehow they restrained themselves and we got RoE and Tapestry of Nations - two shows with no characters in site. And the one thing that was "synergistic" - the Mickey wand - was reviled and hated by almost everyone. I'm hopeful that they understand that EPCOT is not the place for character shows.
