Well, to each his own, I guess. Still, I think one can give props to Knott's log ride - the first themed log ride anywhere and a real E ticket wonder when it opened (although Knott's turned around Disney's system when they had tickets - A's were the highest!), and also recognize that 20 years later Disney opened a better ride, with tons of AA's, great music, a bigger main drop, the big finale AFTER the main drop, a better storyline, the great indoor down-up-down drop, etc. Knott's had the first indoor drop anywhere also I think, but Splash did it one better with the down-up-down. Knott's ride is still lots of fun and charming and one of the things that makes that park still worth visiting - but I can't say it's better than Splash. YMMV.
