And that makes Knott's better? How old is your friend? 10? I have to agree with her that crowds at DLR are out of control.

As you can see on their web site, they have a huge menu selection. I will try something more esoteric next time. A great thing was the register receipt could be used to buy any fruit pie at the bakery for $5 ($9 value). Anyone care to share some boysenberry pie with us? I saw the sign indicating where annual passes were processed, but didn't feel curious enough to wander over and see what is available. We did spend some time in Virginia's Gift shop. I love thier wide selection of glassware and they have a good selection of Disney Character memoribilia.

Cedar Fair tore out a lot of these very missed themed attractions, even the volcano with the little devil, and built a bunch of unthemed roller coasters. Disneyland has lots of themed attractions, and attendance is thriving, so I think that Disney knows what they are doing. Hopefully, Cedar Fair will follow Disney's example - themed attractions!

Also, as I recall, Coney Island had a similar horse race attraction, I do not know if it was purchased and relocated from there.

The only thing Knott's has over the DLR is that Knott's does not have the insane crowds. Seriously this past trip at DL we were there only on weekdays in mid-May and it was ridiculous. They've got to expand the park or build the 3rd gate or something because the place can't continue to sustain these type of crowds.

I think that's the whole point of expanding and improving DCA. That park is under capacity and has more room for physical growth than DL does.
