Why is so hard to believe that I love Gadget's Go-Coaster so much?

What I don't understand is why anyone would wait an hour or more to ride it. It's a B ticket at best.

Without the Dole sponsering, we would be without Dole Whips. That, alone, is reason to keep it.

Yeah, I don't know where rumors like this come from, but it's definately not true. They have changed the Tiki Room shows at WDW and Tokyo Disneyland already. There is no "contract" for the show; Disney can do whatever they like with it. I'm just happy they've chosen to refresh the Disneyland show instead of change it out. Yeah, it's a little cheesy now, but it's still fun. It also gets more crowds these days since it got spruced up and has a nice, new sign out front.

As for Gadget's Go-Coaster, I wouldn't mind if they renamed it Goofy's Go-Coaster, since Goofy's house basically got neutered. Plus, Goofy is known to everyone.

But the other attraction singled out - 'small world' - is monstrously huge, moreso than many people might realize.

I've never been a fan of IASW, and I'm also a bit resentful about the enormous amount of valuable space that it swallows up whole. I don't even like the facade. There's so much potential to use that precious square footage for an attraction that dazzles - maybe even two major attractions if they were clever in the design.

IASW is clunky and graceless in it's presentation. Boats trundle along in a blue PVC trough above a poured concrete slab and below an acoustic tile ceiling. And let's not even mention "that song".

As with lincoln, people seem anxious to hold on to these aging attractions out of their own sense of nostalgia.

Tikis? Fine, let `em stay right where they are. 'Small World"? It's an anachronism that demands too much of the park's most valuable asset - space.

And, well, the tiki room, what can I say. I would just be terribly upset to see it removed. It´s always a must.

We differ in opinion here. I absolutely love iasw, as do many of the visitors at the Park. I always ride it several times during a visit. Go to a coaster park if you want big coasters or whatever it is you think would be a better use of that space.

I'd rather see Innoventions bulldozed. Leave the ride with real charm alone.

    Amen!

Innoventions should have been put to sleep in favor of a REAL attraction ages ago.

I IASW is a solid attraction, and more importantly its message is just as relevant today as it was in 1964 when it was first created. What I think the attraction needs (the DLR version) is a major upgrade.

Now, all these years later, people are justifying 40-year-old attractions that are well past their prime simply out of nostalgia.

That said, I too am not a fan of It's A Small World. It simply doesn't have the level of detail that I like in a Disney ride. That said, taking it out would be stupid. The ride is one of the top 5 most visited attractions in the park. It is almost certainly more popular then any of the mountains, even if the line length doesn't show it.
However, I do think it is funny that It's A Small World is in Fantasyland. Kinda cynical, don't you think?
