Once i grew past the age of seven I figured out alot of the tricks to Disneyland but knowing all the effort that goes into maintaining it and keeping the "magic" aura only makes the effect more special to me.

People, stop and think. It's OKAY to say something negative now and then. I mean, it's not a CULT after all is it? If it is, no one told me. It is a business, there to entertain us and take our money. We pay Disney, therefore, we are at liberty to hold Disney accountable. That doesn't mean that you cry and pitch a fit at every single thing that is wrong or not to your liking. But the day I am no longer able to say "hey I am not happy with this part of Disney..." is the day I pack my bags and head out. No offense, but don't get so offended when someone wants to have an opinion that is *GASP* different. Of course this excludes the people on LP that are ALWAYS negative no matter what. You know who you are! *gives the evil eye*

A certain DL site webmaster whose name rhymes with Hal Futz was so negative a couple years ago about DCA that he was just about unreadable. Even the good things in other parks were compared against the horror of DCA. It was so slanted that I almost stopped reading him completely. Thankfully he's pulled out of the muck and is now much more balanced.

It's not about being a better fan or a different fan. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I think everyone here loves DL in their own way. The park has special memories for each of us, and it's not for you to say that I must not be that much of a fan if the magic is "ruined" that easily. I never said it was ruined. If you read my post, I basically said I will continue to believe in the magic and to keep it alive for my girls for as long as I can. But thanks for your opinion.

I seriously don't think had the internet been around between 1955 to 1995 you would read so much negativity ... because the positive FAR exceeded the negative then. Only in the last 1½ years with Rasula, Ouimet, and now Lasseter ... Can we now look toward a better time on these boards where we can start rejoicing some better more positive changes. Less reason to talk negative and bash ... if there are fewer things to criticize.
