You are not allowed one message to say goodbye (I believe you are allowed one email to a lawyer though.) Jon might have been completely civil in his goodbye, but it is something the Admin doesn't want to take a chance on. Let's face it, when you are mad and know you have nothing to lose because you are already banned you could probably produce some pretty explosive posts. 2) I'm sure Admin and Doobie would prefer to avoid all the drama that is going on here. To allow a person to announce they have been banned is inviting... well inviting this thread. As for giving him a chance to provide an email address; his account was not deleted. You could still click on his name in any of the threads and see the personal information he had listed, which included his email address.

When someone is shut out of a site, it's in very bad taste to change the login and come on back, even if it's just to say goodbye. jon lost his priviledge to communicate through LP. Yet he continued to violate that ban with his attempts to continue communication. It's absolutely a no brainer to me that Doobie and company would erase those posts, and continue to be vigilant in seeing that he does indeed refrain from posting. And by now everyone who cares knows about nadelberg.com, and can chat with the lad to their heart's content. Kudos to Doobie for leaving those links viewable here.

A little common decency goes a long way. And that particular moderator was being an obstinate idiot, to be quite honest. Or, if not, just a mean, nasty heartless person. It was really stupid the way that went down.

I think his getting so carried away about this thing is really quite amusing. I don't take his comments seriously enough to be upset about them.
