And soon ... the Big Cheese makes his appearance! ;) And stay with the rest of the episode from that point on.

Lisa is about to watch the episode, I asked if she wanted to go to TGI Fridays tonight... (We like going to the one at Knott's, heck, there is a 10% discount for Knott's AP holders...) ;)

But I can't complain, we had dinner Norm's Thursday night (Amazing Steak and Shrimp meal, including an Eclair for dessert for $9.99, and comes with Soup AND Salad!) and then a full Lobster meal for $14.99 at Longboard's at Huntington Beach last night.

Why not? They spoof everything else, along with SNL :)

I thought it was on the better side (little too heavy on the Mickey though though).

Lukewarm on it. I'm not a regular viewer, but I expected better on a Disney-oriented episode.

The whole "Mickey Mouse is really evil" thing has been done to death, and much of the rest was just going for the obvious without really adding anything actually funny to it. Clever satire I like. This wasn't it.

I did laugh a few times, but not at the Disney stuff. Guess I've been spoiled by the Simpsons. When they slam Disney, Disney has been well and truly slammed.

BTW, anybody besides me think that the "I've Got a Ring" song sounds a lot like "Surf City"?

I believe out of the 13 years South Park has been on the air ... this is their first Disney-Blowout episode.

I don't mean by South Park. I mean by every other Disney satire by non-Disney-affiliated media, television or otherwise, since 1971.

Just for fun, here are the various Disney spoofs done by Family Guy and Simpsons

    FAMILY GUY
-Walt forcing Minnie to pose nude, claiming that she'll be a star.

-Peter taking Stewie to WDW. In this episode they ride Halle Berry's Wild Ride, encounter a live Michael Jackson in Captain EO and Stewie is forced to perform in A Tiny World. The climax of the episode parodies Temple of Doom.

-Peter's face morphing to Mickey's and talking about copyright infringement.

-Michael Eisner making a few appearances, sometimes as one of Carter Pewterschmidt's friends.

-In "Stewie Kills Lois"/"Lois Kills Stewie", Stewie takes over the world and bans direct-to-DVD movies, such as "Aladdin 4: Jafar May Need Glasses". The scene cuts to an American-accented Jafar having his eyes checked at the optometrist.

    SIMPSONS
-Various jabs at DL/WDW/DLP with Simpson family trips to Duff Gardens and Itchy & Scratchy Land, as well as a trip to EFCOT Center, and a few "this is better than DCA" quips.

The funniest thing about the Mickey parody, I thought, was the way he ended every nasty or foul mouthed comment with the falsetto "huh-huh." That, and the Jonas Bros. repeated use of "Bay-bay." Other than that, the satire seemed kind of obvious.
