Remember, they had to remove a whole section of DL's building to install cranes inside to remove, then reinstall the large track pieces. Perhaps the TTA won't be down for the entire Space Mountain rehab, but, I'm betting it will be down for a considerable portion of it.

So, it isn't just the queue that is causing the problem, although I do think it should be enclosed, even if it's just so you can see out, but the rockets can't see in.

The TTA will definitely be closed for likely a major portion of this. When they have huge construction equipment in there taking track out an opening they create in the side ... well, you think about it. If SpMtn is down for 12 months, I'd expect the TTA to be down for at least 7-8.

And you TTA lovers will all live ... life will go on ... the sun will rise ... and we'll keep spending billions on Iraq when kids here don't have healthcare!

New track should not take as long to put up because it should have a simpler support structure. I would not be surprised if it is down for 18 months. Of course maybe they will announce 12 months but extend it later. All I know is I am excited. This ride has needed a major rehab for awhile. Of course the other question is if they are finally gonna retheme the area around it to fit in with the rest of Tomorrowland?

Does anyone remember which attraction had the Statue of Liberty in it, back when Lee Iacocca was raising money for its' rehab? I have no idea why this is important to me, but it's driving me crazy trying to remember.

TTA is my favorite also it always puts a smile on my face. It is just so peaceful, and yes magical also for me. I always have to go around twice each time I get own it.

I am presently boycotting WDW so it's closure should not effect me. I do not know when or if I will ride it again. However it's closure will still make me sad. Just knowing there are a lot of us closet TTA lovers out there that feel the same way. You may have under estimated our true love for it Spirit. I'll just have to start checking the obituaries after it goes down.

You left out each, and everyone of the members of Congress that authorised the war. Plus each, and every country that authorised the use of force against Iraq, plus each country that supplied troops for the effort. Also all the citizens of this country that gave their support early on. Yes the president has done a poor job. Now let's see that leaves us with Mr. Obama, and Mr. Paul. I think they are the only one's to oppose the war from the start. I hope I don't get admin. for this, I just hate being political on a Disney board, but I'm so upset with the thought of TTA being closed I just can't help myself. Before you respond, let me assure you I did not vote for President Bush this last time, and I only rate 4 possibly 5 Presidents as worse than him.

I don't know how difficult this would be to do, especially without leaving any marks that are too permanent, but it just seems silly that the whole attraction would need to close just for that one part of it.

That said, if closing both SM and TTA gets a SM that is on the level of DL's (or even above), I certainly wouldn't oppose it.

we'll see in a few years when you get Billary. She's not as smart as Bill, not anywhere near as nice as Bill ( and I say that as not a big Bill fan- I reserve that for Trippy ). She was raised and is much more conservative than many Dems are going to like, and not conservative enough for some GOP --
she's not a bad moderate candidate ( which is why I likely will vote that way ) - but moderates are not the vocal ones in themedia or the country.

I expect a constant barrage on her as well - and she will be about as accepting of that criticism as the current Pres. --

Going to be very interesting. ( although if she can get health care fixed that will raise her above what we have today - but that's a big if ) -
