As far as the newsboy - I always thought he misbehaved and was made to stand in the corner. ;-)

I believe (and have heard) that it simply is a broken effect that likely won't be replaced/repaired.

Besides, this will always be my online home. This is the best Disney site for news and discussion.

But sometimes when things are quiet here, they can get very heated over there (usually not over the biggest things either).

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, quite calming here, though I miss the edit option.

That campaign sounds wonderful. BTW. :D

Imagination is still left in the world, Spirit. ;)

It's just in living in Tokyo and vacationing in DCA. Hah!

And that is INCREDIBLY SAD!!! It's such a simple effect - video loop projected out over a circarama backdrop. It was crafted very carefully, but the technology itself in stupidly simple. Replace a computer that's displaying the image. Replace a projector lamp. It's just inconceivable (why do I always lisp when I say that word?) that they could let this effect go because of a simple technological malfunction.

I'm just teasing. Just like you, I've had a hunch that SSE was completed months and months ago. Sad, but true.

I really hope that it's an easy fix, as it's one of those dumb little things that really just made the attraction stand out in my memory.

As for the ending, I just can't find a way to believe that it's not done. The attraction reopened about 6 months ago, right? And they're still not done with it. Any changes they've made since then have been very minor, so I really don't think that anything spectacular will ever be there, until another big refurb. And for what it's worth, the blue light grid at the beginning of the descent really irritates my eyes. There's something about certain LED's that just doesn't agree with me, and they sort of 'jump' whenever I blink or move my eyes. Since the car is constantly moving and turning through that section, it is literally painful to look at them. It's a really neat effect that I would love to see, but I just have to close my eyes to get through there without ending up with a headache.

Yeah. I do too. Doobie wants us all to learn proper grammar and spelling ... and to get it right the first time.

I admire that ... even when I can't get my THEREs right!

Sucking up will get you everywhere.
Just remember that old man Pierce is my field general (and he packs heat ... he's a Texan, after all) ... and a certain skipper you know is my lead lapdog ... so we'll have to find a proper role for you. Can you sing?

For a newbie (here at least) that was very good!

I had heard via pretty reliable sources that Siemens was very unhappy with the finished product and the guest survey results and that was why Disney had been in there tinkering ... work was done ... on what and to what degree? I have no clue. I don't think it was large scale at all because ... frankly ... we'd know.

I don't think this is a cut and dry situation by any stretch ... but I am not holding my breath that any substantial changes will come for years.
