Guests have seen inside these floats and know a little bit about how uncomfortable it is to be in one of those floats. "I" never said that guests cared about the situation inside of the float, My boss said that to me. In my opinion im with you on that fact that guests dont care about the driver. My boss seems to though. I did not mean that guests compared the situation inside a float to a roomy car, it was my boss who said that. Yes I have lied about being mickey and "currently" driving a Spectro float. What is hard to believe about everything else. The reason I joined this Message Board was to fill you gouys in on the technical stuff going on that no one knows about. Yes I am allowed to release this information as long as it does not reveil any sources, dates, times, names, and legal information. I have asked my boss if it was alright and he said sure but with some restictions. If it is hard some of you to beleive any of this, good for you. The ones who do must either know me, have worked with me, or know the same information that I have posted. Give me a chance to reconstruct myself and I will stop lying. Like this lie I must get off my back. The float driving thing did happen just not with spectro. It was at Animal Kingdom in Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade. You know those big floats with tall animals on them that have the wooden looking wheels where you can see the driver driving the float yeah that is what I "used to do". I stopped not because of an injury it was because it got to boring. The route was to short for me, if they performed the parade in the rain you got wet, and you could hardly call those as floats more like a car frame with a decortive topping, and wheels. No lies there. I only did that for 1 year before I quit. Im though a Lighting Designer/Lighting Technician (and i sometimes fill in for the CM you runs the lights for Fantasmic, normally, when he is either sick or just does not feel like coming in to work)and I am Asst. Head of Lighting Crews. Not a big fancy job as it sounds. All I do is go to each theatre, ride (that uses lighting instrments), and firework shows, and make sure that the lighting instruments, and console are maintained, burned gels are changed, burnt out lamps are changed, and any technical stuff needs fixed. Has for Lightign Designer, I design the lights for small concerts and special events that require lighting. Plus my job description has me designing the lights for any small show that is new in a WDW park, which rarely happens except in the case of the new Finding Nemo show at AK. Since this show is not going to be one of the more expensive shows that is already running in one of the parks, they decided to ask me to do it for no more than what my salary already pays. This way they could save money on hiring an outside designer to come in and design the show. Its not like the lighting is that elaborate. Its mostly Front washes, Fill washes, some Specials, Side washes, Color washes, some gobe effects, and some general illumination(GI). Most of the show takes place in water so there is not going to be a lot of cues in the show. If ant cues change any lights the look is not going to drastically change its most likely going to be suttle changes. I know one effect that is going to be in most every cue and thats the light reflecting of the waves onto the bottom of the ocean. There are going to be a lot of gobos. Gobo- round metal disk with either a pattern etiched in to it or laser cut into it. Then the gobo is placed in a holder and slid into a slot onto the top of the light just in front of the lamp but behind the lense. Thus projecting the pattern onto the floor of the stage. In this case for the wave effect I will be using a gobo built into a intelligent lighitng fixture. This way I am able to move the gobos form many lights back and fourt the stage to create the wave effect while using the dimmer on the light fixture to make it look like the sun is hitting each wave at a different angle. I think I went off my whole topic that I startd talking about at the beginning of this psot so back to it. As for Lighting Technicain, this just means that I can opearate any of the lighting consoles for any of the shows at WDW 4 parks.

And if and when it happens, the honest and well informed LPers will once again flush the posers and fakes out. On a separate but related note, does WDW provide an employee assistance program for CMs in need? Where I work, we have programs in place to take care of both physical and mental health needs of our employees. A similar WDW program may have some relevance here.

Geez, kid, what are you, 12 years old? Most likely. Oh, and by the way most of what you write does NOT make sense, and you appear even more idiotic and pathetic with all the errors. The lies though...priceless. You really need to get a life and quit dreaming. Why not actually apply for work at Disney and play Goofy (since you now claim to be 6"3')?

LoL, it had me laughing

So they decided to ask me to quit the job with pay for the 2 weeks I was off and an extra 2 weeks pay for hospital costs on top of the week of the injury's pay.< OK, this just makes no sense. You get injured, and your employer is afraid of a lawsuit, so they ask you to quit? This is ludicrous! That's a sure way of just about guaranteeing that you would sue! Silly, techie, just silly. >Give me a chance to reconstruct myself and I will stop lying. Like this lie I must get off my back.< With statements like this there is no possible way you're ever going to have the slightest shred of credibility on this board. Yes, I can verify from your lighting talk that you do indeed know about lighting. I still question whether you work for Disney at all, I question whether you "run the lighting for Fantasmic!" in a situation that I know is totally run by an automated console (possibly a WholeHog) triggered by SMPTE time code, and I totally question your assertion that the lighting on the brand new, highly anticipated show in the Tarzan theater is going to be so simple that they don't need a real designer for the show, just you doing some washes and gobos. You might get away with talk like this to your friends on other chat boards, but there are way too many people here who either work for the parks or who have a solid knowledge of the workings of the parks. You've told too many lies, and now no one can possibly believe you. Just give it up and go away, will ya? It's been fun, but it's over.

Well, when I worked for Universal, they didn't have an assistance program per-se, but they had counseling numbers you could call to get support. There was just no financial support. I don't know how Disney does it though, but I would not be surprised if it's the same.

It's just funny how brazen WDWtechie was about his "facts"!
