I would think y'all would be more worried about your Ghetto trash, and gangs than you would be about Rednecks. How come they never come up in your complaints?

If they had a lot of open space they wouldn't be called Metros.

I wish they were better, and your second hand experiences there, were a little more reasonable price wise.

Losing both Lost, and 24 in the same season must be hard on you.

You know how I feel, about air travel, but they seemed very good the 2 times I was forced to fly in the past 27 years. Glad to hear about Delta. I have a friend I grew up with that has worked for them over 35 years.

It's definetly a big deal here. I can't believe I didn't hear that it was United until last night. I'm really surprised they don't relocate corporate headquarters to Houston for the tax break.

Your kidding me right? That's not what I'm reading on every news sight I go to. They're even questioning the reaction time of the White House. Though I don't see how the White House could have reacted any better than they already have. Maybe they want Obama to jump into a dinghy, head out to the oil slick, and start bailing with a bucket.

    >> But money can't replace ecosystems ruined, dead creatures and ruined livelyhoods ... not to mention the dozen or so men who were killed when the rig 'sploded.

Nothing is foolproof, so they say. But the chances for catestrophic incidents like this need to be made so tiny as to be thisclosetoimpossible and I don't believe we're close to it. <<

There are risk in most operations like this. Supplying energy is dangerous. No matter what form you are supplying it in. Like working in a coal mine or working in the refineries. I love how Britsh Petroleum is spotting off about their good safety record. All you have to do is ask anybody in the industry about that. You will find out BP is lying out their kazoo. Ask some of the widows living in Texas City from the blast there that killed 14 in 2005. It also sent prices soaring. Just like this latest mishap is going to do.

The fact of the matter is, if we just shut down operations off our coast we leave ourselves in a very, very, very, very vunerable position. The equipment designed to prevent this from happening failed. They are working to assemble the containment, and pump system they need to stop this mess. You can bet several will be on hand, and ready in the future. By the way. There will be off-shore drilling off of the Florid coast. It will just be that China is doing the drilling. Have your state representives come up with a plan to block that yet?

    >> Well, their buses are a whole lot less scarier than ours (or Disney's)! <<

If WDW had buses like TDL, they would be less scary.

    >> I honestly can say that EVERY country I've ever visited has better McDonald's BY FAR than the USA. I chalk that up to them being allowed (both by government and rube consumers) to put out a crappier product. <<

Have you tried the one in Dhaka Bangladesh yet?

    >> As to chips, I just don't get why we have so few varieties in the USA. And I absolutely intend on trying Lay's Blueberry Tater Chips when I head back to China. <<

How many brands do you want?

It's either correct or false. There can be no mostly in that statement.

    >> Because there is one fundamental point missing for all those 'keep it in your pants' and 'keep those legs crossed' brigades of Bible-thumpers and that's the fact people like SEX! And that's a good thing. The USA needs to get off this puritanical religious POV about getting off and let people have knowledge and the ability to protect themselves against disease and unwanted pregnancies. Period. If you have a moral issue, that's between you and your family and your church. But in NO WAY should affect/shape public policy. <<

As much as you dislike those Bible Thumpers, they are correct. No matter what you say. I knew about rubbers when I was a kid. Guess what, it doesn't work. You can spend 100 billion dollars (a drop in the bucket to the bail-out bill) on sex education, and it still won't work. PERIOD! Self responsibility is the only thing that will ever work. I swear I think some people want the Government to unzip their trousers for them when they take a leak!

Not touching this one at this late hour ... nope, not now ... another day, perhaps. <<

It doesnt matter if it's 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. The facts remain the same. People have always flocked to this country for the opportunities it offers. That is a fact. If anyone doubts that check out the statistics on immigration, both legal, and illegal Those folks aren't coming here to be oppressed. If that's not good enough next time they have a swearing in ceremony for citizenship, go to it. When it's over ask those people why they came here.

    >> But now I'd rather discuss coloring with Aurora as a major new MK attraction <<

I know dshyates is pretty pumped up about it.

Have either one of y'all tried taking a leak behind the Dumbo topiary? It's kind of tricky.

Not doing corporate, unless it's Disney. My main area of interest and knowledge in Constitutional Law.
